The 5-11, 195-pound, dual-threat quarterback and former Houston Cougars star is set to transfer to Miami, according to a UM staffer, and is expected to be in town to begin classes by Tuesday.

King, who has one year of eligibility left and will be able to play immediately, appears to be the perfect fit for the new high-octane, spread attack that offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee will begin installing this spring. King set an American Athletic Conference record with 50 total touchdowns in 2018, a season in which he also completed 63.5 percent of his passes, threw for 2,982 yards and ran for 674 more.
