Any word on penalty for Michigan yet? Scholarships....Probation??
Nothing for a long time. When things do go down,it probably will be a hand slap. Probation, and a scholarship lost. Noting big for Michigan.

As far as USC and other schools are concerned, it amazes me that people who know absolutely NOTHING about the investigtion continue to run their big mouths. Just because your team get's it 's ass kicked by USC and other schools like them on a contunous basis does mean that you clowns know what goes on there. The schools themsleves do not pay the players. If players are being paid, the Alumni and other boosters are responsible for that. Statements like that just go to show how inept the poster who posts them are.

oh the boosters we're paying so it's all good and the ncaa shouldnt do anything about it, right? USC knew exactly what was going on. Silence implies consent.

No. There are NCAA rules regarding that also. It falls into the "Non-Compliance" area. Just remember something. USC is the NCAA's darling out West. No other team draws 1/10th of the attention that the USC football team draws. So now the object for the NCAA is to find a way to punish USC without cutting their own throat, financially. I am sure they will find a way.

Back to the Police Blotter. The University of Houston has kicked Punt Returner A.J Dugat and OT Ari Tatum off the team for unspecified reasons. In other news, three more Michigan State players have pled guilty to assaly charges during a fight with a fraternity. That makes a starting grid of 11 players who have pled guilty to the charges.

USC has a huge advantage because basically, they are the only program West of Texas that draws huge national attention. Sure programs like Boise State and others who go undefeated draw attention, but one loss and they are quickly forgotten. Unlike the SEC, the ACC, and the Big 12 where there are several teams that draw national attention, and unlike the Big 10 that travels so well to bowl games, the Pac 10 is basically USC and no one else. No other school in the Pac 10 comes close to drawing the type of national attention that USC does. The NCAA knows this. The NCAA is fully aware of how much money USC dumps into their coffers. They are fully aware of what a huge draw USC is in any bowl game. So USC will get hit with probation, loss of scholarships, and big time fines. They may even strip them of their 2004 NC (like who really cares at this point). What the NCAA will NOT do is keep them out of bowl games because that would cost the NCAA money. Since both the football program and hoops program are going down at the same time, and since the hoops program made the worst violation, the hoops program will take the brunt of the punishment. They have already self imposed a 1 year ban on postseason play, starting this year. USC fans are hoping that the NCAA put the blame squarely on the person who deserves it. A.D. Mike Garrett. He waw the person who turned his back to all of this.

I just wish the ncaa would either get serious about punishing teams by taking away schollies and banning them from bowls or not do anything at all. Taking away old wins and shit does nothing.

Aparently a girl got the victim toopen his door, and ithen two of the men pointed a weapon at him, forced hm back into his house, tied him up, and took money and other items. Enjoy your 10 years in prison Starks.

Diving deep into Division II, we go to Texas A&M Commerce, where it appears that the entire football team was involved in the theft of every school newspaper. Aparently there was a lead story about how two of the team's members were busted for drugs, and the team did not like it. So they went around campus and took every paper. Two member of the team have been identified. HC Guy Morriss, a major loser in FBS Head Coaching and a 5-5 record at A&M Commerce praised his team for the deed, stating that he was proud of the team and that "this was the best team exercise we have ever done". When A.D. Carlton Cooper was notified of the video of the two football players he became worried because he "didn't think they were smart enough to do this on their own."

Iowa Defensive End Adriane Clayborn has agreed to a plea deal. He pled guilty to a Mickey Mouse Assalt charge which carries a $100.00 fine. This thrilled HC Ferentz, who would not suspend a murderer from his team, much less one of his best players. Ferentz can now punish Clayborn by suspending him for a play or a half in their opening game against mighty Eastern Illinois.

Oregon kicker Rob Beard pled Guilty to a charge of "Physical Harrassment" on Friday. This idiot knocked a woman down, and then got the crap kicked out of him by two other now former Oregon players, who also pled guilty to misdomenor crimes. Aparently Beard was drnk on his ass and got beat up so bad that he was knocked unconscience. I guess this is the type of player Oregon recruits.

Well, you do not have to be a mental giant to get into Oregon to begin with. And that is for anyone. If you are a football player, reading is not even a requirement.

Today's additions to the Police Blotter. Georgia Redshirt Freshman QB Zach Mettenberger was arrested onver the weekend and charged with under age consumption of alcohol, underage possession of alcohol, and carrying a false I.D. The 18 year old was busted in a place called "Flip Flops". Got to love it.

Boise State Senior Safety Jason Robinson was kicked off the team for the dreaded "Unsepcified Team Violation". No other comment was made by Boise State HC Chris Petersen.

Speaking of the leader of Thug U West, Oregon QB Jeremiah Masoli will be formally charged with 2nd degree Burglary on Friday. That means the better part of Oregons backfield has been, or will be charged with felonies. Chip Kelly certainly does not seem to have enough guts to suspend these guys, so it looks as if Thug U West will thrive under the Kelly Administration.

UGAs Zach Mettenberg was arrested the other day.
He is in the running for the starting job this yr.
I believe he was charged with underage drinking/possesion.
Richt will probally suspend him for the first few games regardless if he wins the starting job or not

Some of this stuff is really getting good. Oregon has gone completely off the wall, taking anyone with football talent no matter how stupid they are. Of course Oregon has not won a Rose Bowl game since 1917, so what do you expect? They never have wpn, nor will they ever win, a National Championship. Maybe Kelly will suspend these players for their home game against New Mexico or Portland State.

Backup QB Aramis Hillary(South Carolina) and his brother, CoCo Hillary(Appalachian State) were both arrested last weekend..

Amaris, a redshirt freshman who was competing for the Gamecock's No.2 spot, was charged with underage drinking and drunkeness.. Not sure what Coach Spurrier said to Amaris, but school policy is any student-athlete arrested is suspended indefinitely..

CoCo Hillary, a senior wide receiver at App State, was charged with driving under the influence.. He failed the field sobriety test.. After taking the breath test, his blood-alcohol level was at 0.11%..

When police searched the car, they found: 2 Solo cups of vodka & OJ, an open bottle of UV vodka, an opened bottle of Bacardi Silver Lemonade, an opened Bacardi Silver Mojito, and in the glove box, an opened bottle of Bacardi Silver Watermelon.. Also a few other unopened bottles in the back seat..

Boise State Safety Jason Robinson was arrested and charged with Felony Assault. Few details have been released. Robinson was already suspended by HC Petersen for the standard "violating team rules" thing, but it is unknown if that incident was related to this arrest.

UPDATE: Coach Spurrier has confirmed that back-up QB Amaris Hillary is no longer on the S.Carolina team.. Coach Spurrier said, "Amaris is probally going to transfer down a division where he has a chance to play next year. I'm not sure what school yet."

Kendell Berry, starting RB at Florida International U, was stabbed and killed on campus last night. Details are still very sketchy and no arrests have been made as of yet. He led the team in scoring last year, even though he missed the first 7 games of the season.
