Ohio State Wins Battle, Loses War

Ohio State easily won the battle today, destroying Illinois 52-14, but saw any longshot hope of getting into the Playoffs (which they do NOT deserve) go by the waste side when Iowa, the team that kicked Ohio States worthless arses by 31 points, lost at home to a 5-6 Purdue team 24-15. This ends all hope of Ohio State backing into the Playoffs. After Wisconsin destroys Minnesota next week to run the regular season table, they will meet Ohio State (who won the Big 10 East today) in the CC game. A Wisconsin win and they are in the Playoffs. A Wisconsin loss could open the door for two teams from either the ACC or SEC to get in. There is simply no way that a two loss team that should not have been in the playoff last year and was shut out in the playoff last year, is going to be voted in this year. Not with other one loss teams waiting in the wings.

No. I want to see teams that deserve to get in, actually get it. Losing two games is one thing. Losing two games by 15 points at home and 31 points to a 5 loss team is something else. If OU loses the Big 12 title game and ends up with two losses, would you not agree that they go before Ohio State, after defeating Ohio State by 15 points in Columbus?

You do realize if Alabama, Miami, Oklahoma win out they will be 1,2, 3. If OSU wins out the #4 spot will be between them and Clemson.
OSU most certainly gets in because: they are conference champ, Clemson is not. Clemson played a non Division 1 team because the stupid ACC only plays 8 league games while the B1G plays 9. OSU will have 3 Top 20 wins (Wisky, PSU, MSU) Clemson will have 2 (ND, Auburn).
Both have 1 bad loss but Clemson lost to a non bowl team. They will be out.
