Who has the Best Group of 5 Team?

At the beginning of the year, most so called "experts" picked USF to finish the highest ranked Group of 5 team and get the automatic bid to a New Years game. Now these "experts" are not so sure. USF plays a rather ridiculously soft schedule. The toughest Power 5 team they played and defeated was Illinois. Memphis, in the same Conference, just defeated #25 UCLA. If these two teams win their divisions, they will meet for the AAC CC game.

The team that was overlooked until last night is San Diego State. They defeated a ranked Stanford team. They also will host a Northern Illinois team that just defeated Nebraska on the road. If the Aztecs win out and go to a New Years game, it will probasbly be the Fiesta Bowl, against a Pac 12 team. Thoughts?

looking at power ratings i see SDSU at #4............. houston, navy, CF, SDSU, SF........ i'm thinking power ratings probably still connect to some sort of pre-season rating....
