    Where is Phil Steele's mag?

I'm in Jersey if it matters but have not found his College Football Preview. I've been to Walmart and Barnes and Noble but it seems all I can find are retarted fantasy books. Anyone find it yet?

    Target has it.

    So does Books-a-Million.

You can also go right to Steele's site, and buy it.

    That is the easiest.

Not sure what part of Jersey you are in, but there is a Books-a-Million in Vineland, Mays Landing, and Paramus.

i live in canada, so buying anything online from USA is either very expensive and/or a giant hassle

i see phil's magazine is supposed to be out this month (late last month?) electronically on ipad.

phil, if you're reading this, would love for your magazine to be available on amazon (and canadian amazon)

Is this considered the best or only magazine to buy? I know sometimes the data tends to be outdated, but can be used to set some parameters. Any other good ones?

i think it is the best magazine by far (not sure blue ribbon does anything).... i think phil does detailed work on all the teams. too many others look like an analysis of last year with a few major changes..... his data is excellent.

i do think alot of people find the running commentaries on the team (2009 to now at each position) a little annoying. but his synopsis writeup on each team is very good, and generally doesn't go way back in time (i could be wrong on this)

Steele's magazine is the best on the market today.

    Nothing comes close.

also, his website has tons and tons of good free things.

.... i like his magazine for the large, detailed paragraph he eventually comes up with on each team. nice layout of stats in one place too

I searched everywhere. I would say any bookstore would have it. Check walgreens, or Ingles.

Phil knows his stuff but I personally find his magazine to be absolutely unreadable. A bald eagle would need reading glasses to take it in. Most of the info is a decade old. It's not for me.

    Really?

What about all his work on returning rosters? OL starts/offensive yards/?

That's good info for those guys who like to create power numbers.

Steeles magazine is very good, but well over 40% of it is absolutely useless. For some unknown reason, he fills his magazine with garbage and information that is totally unimportant. He uses stats that happened years ago. No one cares about what the Florida QB situation was in 2010. No one cares about what happened to Clemsons D-Backs from 2004 to 2009. A careful reading of Steele's rag will show you that he has much too much useless information, which leads one to question the entire magazine. His picks have always been notoriously poor, and with picks this year such as USC at #6 and Texas at #4. This year's rag is a major disappointment. I will have to look for another rag that gives me the information I need without the B.S. and the garbage in this one. Steele could eliminate 100 pages worth of B.S. and have a much better rag.
