    Oregon St at Hawaii

Oregon St is getting 8. Oregon St is a better team than Purdue. Was last week a fluke or is Oregon St the play here.

One half of bad football doesn't make Hawaii a bad team, just normal like 95% of all college teams. Oregon State's secondary is suspect as showed late against Oregon in the rain with bad passing weather. I think if Hawaii would have covered last week the line would be at 13 or 14, but because of one bad week they move it down to 8 or 9. Just my opinion.

I sometimes have this theory that oddsmakers let you win with Hawaii early only to really take your money in weeks like last week where everyone thought they'd kill Purdue...not sure what the hell to think about this week's game, although I wouldn't bet OSU...

I remember quite vividly OSU going into Boise and getting hammered....wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened here.

Hawaii averaged 12 yards a play last week. The score was very misleading. It's not like someone can stop them just because they are a midlevel team from a BCS conference.
While OSU is undeniably better than Purdue, I think the matchup is better for H. Oregon State has a very suspect QB in Moore, who can be either brilliant or terrible. Bernard won't have much success against an H defense that doesn't give up rushing yards. If it gets into a shootout between Moore and Brennan, that is a huge mismatch.
The Beavs will treat this like a vacation, because they are locked into a bowl game, they are off a last minute win over their biggest rival, and they have one of the worst coaches in the nation.

    My thoughts exactly double B.

I'm looking for a let down game from OSU in this game. They just won the civil war, and now there heading to the islands. I'm sorry but I won't get caught with the sucker points in this game.

OSU has nothing to play for, which leans me towards Hawaii, but then again Purdue had nothing to play for either

The Rainbow Warriors have nothing to play for either though bro. I feel we will see the big let down factor for OSU in this game.

I won the weekly fantasy contest at www.betonusa.com took whole 1k winnings and bet H

I guess there are a few hundred people a week that play all the contests thatBet on USA - The Biggest Sportsbook in the World runs and I got lucky and won the $1000 weekly contest. Now there is a 10X playthrough on those 1k winnings.I went through strategizing every scenario of what to do with this 1k with those conditions and decided Hawaii -8 at -105 ''Oregon State was also -105''is the best bet.Hawaii was -7 earlier in the week before I got the 1k in my account.I was going to buy a point but the hell with losing over $100 in winnings if I win.Once I possibly win this first bet I can play it conservative and bet small amounts and come away with at least about $1400.I was thinking on splitting it $500 a bet on the Saints and Rams games on Sunday playing bad teams at home indoors before I made the Hawaii bet.

Here was my logic in picking this Hawaii game. The weather should be good, the time zone change is hard on Oregon State,it's senior day for Hawaii,ESPN took the feed away from ESPN2 and will televize it an hour later and Hawaii wants to strut their stuff on their rare prime time t.v.appearance,Oregon State will look at this as a vacation where even the friggin coaches wives, girlfriends, cheerleaders girlfriends make the trip and too much of that crap distracts the team. They will be out at a luau watching Don Ho when they should be studying plays. Then Oregon State really is where they will be win or lose with their bowl bid situation so there isn't major incentive for them.

At the Beat the prick contest they never put this game on the board.Do you think Bet Cris has a hunch that everyone would have went with Hawaii and Hawaii was going to win big? Then again,if they felt that way they would have had the prick take Hawaii. This game seems to be gathering weird attention.I see it's what's his name's pick on the SBR homepage best bet section.

Alex Smart the handicapper,is he any good?

Yup,that's the what's his name guy that picked Hawaii as his top pick. When I tried going back to the main page where he's at,my browzer wouldn't let me get back there from here.

Some of the ESPN people said that Hawaii is pissed because Oregon State wants to recruit a few Hawaiian kids while they are in Hawaii for the game and in return Hawaii wants to run up the score because they are using this game for recruiting purposes on the mainland.

Remember Hawaii 5-0 and bookem Danno and get the Howlies.Maybe they have a guy named Danno on the recruiting staff at Hawaii.I just had to bring up something from Hawaii 5-0.hehe!

I am going to go with Hawaii. They are by far the better team and I think last week was a fluke. I have been on them alot this year and have made some money with them I am not going to stop backing them just because of 1 game.

I am taking Hawaii again. I think last week was a fluke and with the TD record in sight for Brennan I think he will just demolish it and win my money back that I lost last week. I have won more money with Hawaii this year than I have lost so I have to stick with them, can't turn my head on one bad week.

Congrats to all of you who took the OSU side....I just stayed the hell away from this thing.
Guess OSU put the fluke/no fluke thing from last week to bed. Just another overrated team that was finally unveiled just like another in So.Cal this week.
