Wow - How does under 74.5 not hit (KSU vs Oregon)?

Talk me out of not betting my trust fund on this?

I doubt this game go over 50...

Snyder with several weeks to prepare??? I don't think Oregon is going to be running anything up tonight.

If Oregon puts up 50, I will give everyone that post in this thread prior to the game 50 points. Heck if this game goes over 65 I'll give away points. It ain't happening tonight.

Looking at this thread made me post over 74 bet otherwise would have stayed away from tonight's game.

like under 74, Ducks TT under 41. still deciding whether to play or not, but Snyder with time to prepare and potential for K State to control clock early to break UO rhythm could send this one way under (similar to Ducks/Stanford earlier this season). BOL!

Oregon has averaged 27 pts in last 3 bowl games...K State at 25. Under is the play for me.

also worth noting: K State has unreal (for their offense) 10.8 yards/point. a big part of that is that they were +22 TO ratio. well, +18 of that was at home. Oregon could get turnover happy, but i certainly wouldn't count on it, and if K State isn't benefiting from +2 TO/game, they'll have to go on long, time-consuming drives to score on Oregon and keep Duck offense off the field. also, K State 3.73 YPC allowed for defense is 17th nationally, 119.6 yards/game is 32nd (and K State's schedule was strong, so these numbers weren't built against bad opponents). KSU run defense is not shabby. Ducks kill teams when they put a flurry of points on them quickly. Snyder will go with a ball control gameplan to keep that from happening. it may play out that way, it may not, but that is likely how Snyder is viewing it.

I'm thinking K State will have long offensive drives which keeps that Oregon offense on the bench. Gonna be hard to get to 74 that way.

Two of the most efficient offenses in the country, two of the most opportunistic defenses, and both teams excel in gaining strong starting field position via P/K returns. Short fields aplenty, and high tempo from both sides when their offense is rolling.

I don't know how you can possibly look at this matchup and call it an obvious Under...

not obvious under in my book, but K State can play fast or slow, while Oregon needs to play fast. K State offense will not push tempo early, as they'll want to make it more difficult for Ducks to get into rhythm with the ball. if UO jumps out with two scores early, gameplan changes, K State can always push tempo, but you gotta figure Snyder wants this game low-scoring. i do not think that high tempo can be assumed from KSU (Oregon of course will play high tempo).

Absolutely no way K State pushes the tempo at any point tonight unless they really get down.

I like the first half under at 37.5. I feel that if K State is able to keep it close it will be by controlling the clock and holding Oregon on defense, preventing a lot of points. On the other hand if Oregon takes off and starts running up the score, most of the scoring would come in the second half.
Scenario 1: 20-17 either way after first half
    Scenario 2:34-3 Oregon after first

Sometimes I find high-octane offences like these sometimes adjust defensively and they don't light the board up as much as they can

Dam Alamo - 2 nights in a row where you couldn't script a more horrible start. Pick 6 last night on the first play last night. Kickoff return for a TD tonight followed by a 3 and out. WTF????

I didn't expect both teams to look like shit on special teams. Every possession is at mid field. WTH.

Still got chances Mac but it aint the start we wanted. We could do with a few decent defensive plays and maybe some defensive flags instead of the refs helping the offenses. The next two series will be critical.

Thankfully KState kicked the ball away from Danthony. Really need that clock to move faster. It feels like it's going in reverse.

Holy shit. Oregon just had a TD but Barner never saw the ball. Whew, we got away with one there. Now need KState to put together an eight to ten minute drive.
