TCU at Baylor - Sep 3rd

    Frogs will cover vs Baylor

Without their top punter, Baylor will be on the short side of the field position battle against TCU today.

Baylor enters into this opening home game against TCU without the services of a key component in their lineup. Daniel Sepulveda, the 2004 Ray Guy Trophy winner was the country's top punter (third in the nation in ypp last year).

He is expected to miss the opener because of offseason knee surgery. This will effect Baylor's field position during this contest making them less competitive than many are expecting.

Final note: Horned Frogs are 5-1 ATS in their last six games versus Big 12 opposition. Play on TCU-Projected score: TCU 30 Baylor 17

    Play: TCU -6½

    Bears should hang with Frogs

Old SWC rivals TCU and Baylor renew their rivalry in Waco today with the Bears plus points the play.

Put us down on Baylor +7 for our Free College Football Selection on Sunday.

TCU enters this game coming off an 11-1 2005 season which has put them high on the betting public's radar. The result of this equals the oddsmakers making them (TCU) bigger favorites then they should be.

With that said, we will gladly take Baylor plus the points. Baylor enters this season with a new offensive style (some four and five wide sets) that should help this team out a lot. This can be very effective as they are led by two very talented WR's (Dominique Ziegler and Trent Shelton).

While we see Baylor being very successful on offense, we do see TCU struggling. We see TCU struggling on offense due to the fact that they are weak on the offensive line (they lost four starters from last year). Why the offensive line is such an important part to a team like TCU is because they don't have the type of offense that can simply drop back and pass; they are more of a team that needs to mix in the run to keep their opponents off balance. Chances are their offensive line will struggle since this is their first game together. Add that into the fact that Baylor has a solid overall defense, and you start to see why we feel TCU will struggle on offense.

Baylor being at home for their opening game of the season only adds to our advantage. We will gladly side with this underrated Baylor team plus the points!

    Play: Baylor +7!

    Frogs, Bears - Under

    Frogs, Bears - Under

The TCU-Baylor contest in Waco on Sunday should fall under the current line.

The Horned Frogs visit the Bears for a rare Sunday meeting and go into the match a full TD favorite at most books.

Already the public seems to has been jumping all over TCU at almost a 2:1 clip which should be a red flag this early in the year. Baylor has been rock solid on grass going 10-1 in their last 11.

In order to keep up with TCU, Guy Morris should turn this into a game of field position Sunday. Baylor is a solid 6-2 under when listed as a dog, and has gone under in seven of the last 11 overall.

Sunday the trend keeps going and the under cashes again.

    Play: under 48½

You'd never see BYU playing on Sunday...I think they once forfeited a tournament (basketball) game because it fell on Sunday. Now they are never in a bracket that plays Sunday games.

I thought the Sabbath was all about no work. Where does their book say they can't play? Or do we assume that Christians are never allowed to play?

after watching this full game, I really am surprised TCU covered here...QB gets hurt...3 playmakers weren't even playing...Baylor was inside TCU all territory and they come away with 7 points...
