Does anyone know anything about Troy? I can't say I've seen them play much over the years, but I've bet them and always came out on the black. But two weeks ago I took them -9 at home at night and they got hammered by ULM. what the hell happened? Was that an abberation, or are they just not the same team the program is used to putting out. I'd like to take FIU, but if Troy is good enough to win this game I don't want to mess with it. Please advise!

troy is not the same troy team of year's past. They lost their top playmaker in jernigan, and havent been able to replace his production. After a very successful freshman campaign, their young qb appears to have taken a few steps back.

They have never been great on defense, but this troy team seems to be giving up chunks on the ground more than previous years.

they gave up over 500 yards last week to ulm, and they look to average giving just about that in sunbelt this year...and their run d is awful.

fiu can run the ball, and they beat them by 17 last year at troy.

troy's 2 wins have come against 2 of the worst teams in college football at home. FIU has lost to duke close and the top 2 teams in sun belt. I like FIU

Ya I agree FIU will have the advantage in the run game because Troy is one of the worst rush d's in the country. Both teams like to pass, FIU has the better pass defense and the better pass O. Both teams prone to penalties. FIU wins the Turnover Margin...I'm certainly on FIU, lean on the over 55.5

i don't see where it is on tv at all...not that it matters. give a few reasons why you like troy maybe? i think people miss the point of this. "troy and under" is supposed to mean anything to anyone? i see fiu clearly for the reasons i posted above, so tell me what i am missing. that is why this thread was created...to talk the game out and get everyone on the right side. not wanting to be an ass...but i am just wanting to know why you like troy at first glance.

i don't know man...maybe just the perception of troy being a solid team from a few years back. i had no idea they were this bad until i looked at this game...and i have heard several others who thought troy was fairly good. i am taking fiu and the under. seems like overthinking these games has not worked for me so far this year. if they lose they lose...i play these weeknight games small anyways.

i love these little games...and if this was not on a weeknight i would go rather large on it most likely. those are the first games i look over...i just slide past the wisconsins and michigans to the e michigans and n illinois...lol. like this week...bowling green a steal in my opinion. best play i see on the board and nobody will be on it. guess it is just all about how each person chooses to look at things. anyways...whatever works. gl.

i think vegas is trying to get some $$ back after the ass pounding they took sunday night in the nfl. sure they got some back w jacksonville last night, but they are looking for the kill shot early in the week, therefore laying an inviting line for fiu. i lean troy here, but not sure about a play yet. good luck though whatever play you make. just my 2 cents.

i agree, i have followed troy since levi brown was the qb and they do seem to crank it up a notch when they are in the spotlight. i am considering taking troy moneyline myself. i think the 6 is a gift.

yeah the troy d is bad. fiu wants to run the ball tho like most teams, and the troy run d has not much chance to stop them. i really see fiu scoring some points, but not so much the other way. the fiu pass d is pretty good. if you look at what they have done against these smaller teams it is really good, and i just don't think troy will move the ball much. just on the little sbr stats page...

troy has problems running the ball as well, so i just don't feel they move it much. last week they were held to -14 yards rushing, and they only ended with 140 total yards. the fiu run d is pretty good and has held several teams down real low. i got a screwy way of looking at games, but everything points to the under and fiu to me. wrong almost half the time tho, so what do i know?...lol. i'm just not overthinking it and trying to outsmart the "public" anymore, because all that hasn't worked this year.
