    2006 Indiana Football Breakdown

I think this year could be there year.

Former head coach of Miami-Ohio Terry Hoeppner is starting his 2nd year with the hoosiers, and he has this team believing in themselves. Hoeppner is implamenting something that Indiana football was lacking for many years now, and that is values and a winning adtitude.

The hoosiers started fast out of the gate last season, and faded like cheap wall paper after that 4-1 start. I do not look for a repeat preformence this year from this team.

    heres there 2006/07 schedule:

    09/02/06 Western Michigan Bloomington, Ind.
    09/09/06 Ball State Muncie, Ind.
    09/16/06 Southern Illinois Bloomington, Ind.
    09/23/06 Connecticut Bloomington, Ind.
    09/30/06 Wisconsin Bloomington, Ind.
    10/07/06 Illinois Champaign, Ill.
    10/14/06 Iowa Bloomington, Ind.
    10/21/06 Ohio State Columbus, Ohio
    10/28/06 Michigan State Bloomington, Ind.
    11/04/06 Minnesota Minneapolis, Minn.
    11/11/06 Michigan Bloomington, Ind
    11/18/06 Purdue West Lafayette, Ind.
as you can see this team does play alotta games in the state of Indiana this year, which is to there advantage.

my projection of this team is winning 6 to 7 games, and will be bowling this year.

Hoeppner was a great hire for IU prior to the 2005 season, can definatley win there if he can get the players to committ to go there.

They DO get Wiscy, Iowa and Michigan at home, which helps.

Any idea how they did in recruiting?? I'm not up to speed on CFB yet

they recruiting class this year was ranked 84th in the nation. although. they do have alot of upper classment returnings which i feel should grasp the new system alot better than they did last year.

they have a great recruiting class in the 2007-08 season. so, they are starting to build a nice football program in Bloomington for years to come.
