It's been a great college football season for the players and a terrible one for the books, as most of the public-backed favorites have been covering week after week. Stanford, Alabama, LSU, Boise St, Oklahoma and Oklahoma St have been killer for the books, covering despite regularly being huge favorites both at home and on the road.
In Week 8, the situation looms no different. Alabama is -29.5 at home, bet up from 28 against Tennessee. LSU is -22.5 at home against Auburn, a ranked SEC team. Boise St is -30.5 at home against Air Force, a normally tough ATS beat due to their option offense.
In other lines, Temple, who has been blowing out mid-range MAC teams for a while, is a 13-point road favorite at Bowling Green, and USC, a tough Pac-12 team coming off a strong road win over Cal, is an 8.5-point road underdog at Notre Dame, who is off of a bye week.
