CFB rankings do not come out weekly to show you who the most impressive team from the week before is.....they are to show who people think the best team in the country is. Just because LSU played "the most impressive game" last week does not mean they should not be ranked number 1. Next time think before you talk....and as everyone else said WHO GIVES A CRAP it's week 1. If LSU is actually the best team in the country (they're not) then they'll have the hardware at the end of the season

If you are a fan/student of the game-----there is one thing that is obvious in college football.

You are not going to win a National Title without great QB play---unless you get really really shitty lucky.

Auburn had it with Newton, Florida had it with Tebow. You can get around it if you can run the ball consistently, like Alabama has done.

LSU is not going to scare anyone with their quarterbacks, no matter how much you stomp your feet and tell us LSU is great. The last three years have been pretty mediocre in LSU------and that isn't changing this year, even if they managed to beat Oregon.
