Been over 4 years that I've been going back and forth with a casino over this. Every 6 months or so I email in again with the details and screenshot, and get a different answer.
Blackjack (Euro rules)
I'm nearing the bottom of my bankroll. Am Dealt A-A vs. a dealer showing 10
I split the Aces, and the first split hand is A-A (unable to see the 2nd card yet on the other A until the first hand completes)
Because I split - my balance was less than I needed to split again. Only option is to hit (or stand on 2-12 which makes no sense against a 10)
The problem - the site does not present a "HIT" option. Split/Double/Stand are still available (and would give an error of too low of a balance if I tried to split again or double)
I screenshot the game - contact support. Apparently the site had some sort of timer where after X minutes, hands will time out.
So I emailed in. The support person was obviously unfamiliar with blackjack, replied back "these are European rules - sorry". Next support person said "the game completed - sorry" (yet the hand history didn't show the game as completed)
Over time the responses ranged from "this isn't a bug" to "please check this odds website" (why, I have no idea) to "This was too long ago"
This week I reached out to one of the original owners of the site - he contacted the current operator, and they are looking into it again.
I'm asking for my 2 bets (the split aces) back.
Any thoughts as to how this should play out? The game never completed, so it's unrealistic to continue the hand at this point (imo)
