If everyone prefers it this way there's no problem, but my own preference would be for our results just carry over from one event to the next until the contest is finished. Otherwise, for example, imagine an extreme case where Player A wins four of the six cards with 9/11 compared to Player B's 8/11 on those same cards, but loses the remaining two cards with 0/11 compared to Player B's 11/11! Player A would still get more points at the end, which doesn't seem fair to me. That's the most extreme example, but of course the same thing could happen any number of ways.

I think it's a more accurate test of skill to keep a rolling tally of the score (total $$ earned or lost) until all six events are complete.

30 points isn't a significant amount considering it's only 6 events and thats only 180 points. Assuming we get like 10 people that's really a very small percentage of the points.(1000points-180points=820points) This would leave 574 points for 1st of the whole thing and 246 points for 2nd of the whole thing. That's assuming we get at least 10 people which I think we should. It doesn't really matter to me though what everyone wants to do.

I think he meant 30 betpoints and he's actually doing what you're saying, but I'm not sure.

Correct. We will keep a running total for all 6 events and the bulk of points will go to 1 and 2 from the total of all cards. The best score from every card will get 30 points. And I think I'll just combine the TUF 12 and STRIKEFORCE as one event since they are the same day and usually they only have odds for the main card of STRIKEFORCE. So a total of 150 points will be given out for the best on each card, and then the rest will be split 70%/30% between 1 and 2 overall.

This way I might be able to win back at least 30 points by luck because I admit I suck at capping a whole card.

I would join if it was just the main card. Its too much work handicapping every fight, especially with some of the unknowns on the Strikeforce prelims.

Actually, there rarely are odds on the STRIKEFORCE prelims, and last time we just did the main card fights.

    Quick UPDATE:

It looks like we have a total of 9 people. If it stays that way I think we will adjust the scoring just a touch. 25 points for best on each card, with TUF 12 and Strikeforce on 12-04-10 counting as one card together. So 125 points for best on each card. That leaves 543 points for 1st place and 232 points for 2nd place.
