Thanks to all the dum dums.

Who said Demetrious Johnson and Eddie Alvarez are being oppressed by Dana and the UFC.

Not being paid what they deserve.

Who recommended they move to another promotion.

What we're seeing here is Jon Jones' future.

Demetrious Johnson explains why he deserves a seven-figure payday

    April 16, 2017

    https://www.bjpenn.com/mma-news/deme...figure-payday/

The UFC didn't pay Demetrious Johnson the 7 figure payday he thought he deserved.

He moved to One FC to escape UFC "oppression" and "persecution" by Dana White.

    Jon Jones' future.

Randoms told Tito Ortiz the UFC should pay him millions. They said: Tito the UFC and Dana are oppressing and taking advantage of you.

Eventually Tito realized those people were fools who had not the slightest clue how much he should be paid.

Someday Demetrious Johnson, Eddie Alvarez and Jon Jones might realize the same.

    If they haven't already.

    ...

I'm for fighters being paid what they deserve.

This fake news storyline about every fighter in the UFC deserving to be paid what Conor or Floyd makes is a sad joke.

Its like someone going to the NBA and telling every player they should be making Michael Jordan or Shaq money. It should be obvious to everyone, that's not how things work.

MMA fighter pay is simple. The more pay per views you sell, the more money you make.

If you're the big draw in match ups listed above you get paid.

    If not you don't.

If Demetrious Johnson or Jon Jones don't get paid as much, its cuz they don't sell PPVs.

People aren't doing them any favors putting lies in their heads, making them think they should be paid more than they've earned.

    ...

"Demetrious Johnson and Jon Jones didn't sell 2.4 million pay per views. BUT they should be paid as if they had."

    Wtf is that ^

Unfortunately for DJ the 4 PPV's he headlined had some of the worst buyrates in post "TUF" UFC history

    174 Johnson v Bagautinov 115K
    178 Johnson v Cariaso 205K
    186 Johnson v Horiguchi 125K
    191 Johnson v Dodson 2 115K

There is what looks like a good overview of the top 55 best selling pay per view sporting events of all time.

It was even worse for TJ Dillashaw defending his belt on televised cards with no PPV.

Guess white privilege did not apply there.

Fighters know their contracts. Jon Jones wants 50 million to fight Ngannou and wants to forget his existing contract. How?

    Of all fighters
    53% earn less than 100k
    69% earn less than 200k
    84% earn less than 500k
    91% earn less than 1Million

UFC generated 80% of Endeavors earnings in 2020.

Fukkin JONES is NOT GETTING what he wants. Big name...

definitely a missed opportunity, DJ getting older and Moraes so much bigger. Moraes reached +620 at one point
