PBC - Jan. 23rd (Sammy Vasquez vs. Aaron Martinez & Danny Garcia vs. Robert Guerrero)

Garcia by decision is -110, although you may be able to get him by KO around+4-500 in LIVE betting by mid-rounds. Guerrero is fighting at home basically so you know he is going to bring it as he always does, but the fact is he is a blown-up 130 lb'er and Garcia looks stronger at 147 so perhaps he catches him late and stops him. I still lean towards the decision.

Vasquez/Martinez should be an excellent fight. Vasquez is laying a big number and probably gets the nod if it goes to decision but I believe the draw is worthy of a sprinkle here.. Hard to believe Martinez is going to pull 2 big upsets in a row but he's obviously not coming to lay down either.

How do you all feel about these 2 fights on Saturday evening?

Staying away from these, but for the record I think Garcia could get a cut stoppage, Guerrero tends to bleed like a pig

Yes I can see a late stoppage as well. I just believe the value will be quite a bit higher than +130 by the mid-rounds.

Small play on Martinez by decision has value?

He's fighting in his hometown but it only has value if it wins, obviously. He's fighting a highly-touted prospect. I think the draw is worth a small wager.

Got to watch some boxing for the first time in awhile. Garcia is the real deal. An excellent fighter but man i see a lot of Mayweather in him. JUst not a fan friendly fighter. Doesn't take many risk at all. Bores ya to death most of the fight but hey it isn't my brains being scrambled out there so who can blame him. The kid Vasquez looks like the real deal.

Garcia was in the -700-900 range for the ML, Guerrero around +550. Decision closed at -138 I believe and Garcia by KO/TKO/DQ was +163 (Bet365).

That's why you take the decision, like I posted in the first message.

That was only his second fight at Welterweight but it remains to be seen how effective he will be at Welterweight... I don't see him beating Thurman.
