I wish Maynard would mix up his ridiculous wrestling game with his boxing but he just looks to sprawl & brawl these days and gets outworked by more active strikers who can evade the killshot.

I know but even after the camp switch he still looked to KO Guida the whole fight while Clay ran. He just stuffed TDs but never looked for TDs of his own and his offensive wrestling is off the charts. The way he thoroughly outwrestled Frankie Edgar in their first fight (and repeatedly put Florian on his ass when the winner was guaranteed a title shot) was really impressive.

Maynard's cardio is a liability and perhaps he doesn't look to wrestle in 5 round fights because of it but his stock goes down a lot in my book when he looks to sprawl & brawl as opposed to mixing it up with TDs of his own.

Actually, Sherdog made a valid point tonight, which is somewhat of a rarity,

I was not personally aware that the fightmetric stats we see on TV are actually shown in the arena, live, on the big screens.

I think we are kidding ourselves if we don't think this has an influence on them and has led to some bad decisions instead of paying attention to what was actually going on in the cage.

I would go as far as to say that Larkin dominated Carmont from bottom. He landed far more strikes, Carmont landed, by my count, two, and Larkin threatened with subs and swept into back control. Atrocious decision.

Look at the one fight i talked about on this card. Again everyone on Larkin and he gets robbed the decision. You learning anything yet boy? Not one guy agreeing Carmont won except the judges who have everything to gain for the books and see it a different way. Fukin pathetic and they will hide behind pathetic takedowns and in the last round he almost got hit with a Kimora after getting one of his pathetic takedowns. The guy got out kicked, out punched.
