I would do a Parlay of Lima, AJ, and Spong.

    Lima -350
    AJ around -350
    Spong -600

If Spong comes in at -600, I'm betting the other side. No idea what his ground game is like, or how his cardio will hold up under a different skill set.

Likely this fight ends in TKO.

Travis Bartlett is a brawler and has ugly fights even when he does win he gets beat up. He's an older white dude who holds a 77-19 amateur Boxing record. He's a standup fighter and like Spong, he isn't a very good grappler. Since suffering a shoulder injury, he hasn't competed since 2010.

I'm aware of that. But if you're a B grade striker and you're training to fight one of the best strikers in the world, what are you going to prepare to do? Sure, Spong gets a rd1 KO the majority of the time, but I'll take +450 on the dog here.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Probably training his ass off on the mat.

    I couldn't bet against Spong though, he's a beast.

Lookin forward to see what the lines open at.

That's a strange fight to cap.

Initially, I thought that Santos had suffered an Injury in his last bout against Prindle. Am I Wrong? Thiago Santos was taken out on a stretcher (I'm assuming he probably couldn't move/get up) and it was talked about that he suffered a Broken Pelvis due to that DQ Axe Kick. Can he fight and come back 100% already? That fight was just 4 weeks ago. Seems a bit too soon.

The Value is on Richard Hale. A LHW fighting in the HW tournament, I believe has a pretty decent striking base, good reach and will throw quicker and more accurate series of punches. I believe Hale's fight gameplan will involve staying outside and picking Santos apart on the feet. Knowing Santos will have to take him down and win the fight there, he will trying to keep it standing and avoid takedowns. Being that Santos may not be 100%, he may find alot of success with the gameplan he has.

mm..sounds fair. I still feel that overall, thiago is the better fighter, but maybe as you say, this isnt the time to put money on him. Im not going to bet on hale against santos either so probably passing on this. Anything you like?

I kinda wish Santos would have came out higher or will move up to around -200 like I thought he would, but atm +125 on Hale is great Value. I risked $200

I like Mike Richman and Douglas Lima in a parlay.

His fight against the murderer was pretty impressive. His GNP was brutal.

That's what I thought too, but I feel money is going to come in on Santos. Everytime I think of the fight I see Santos pushing him against the fence for 3 rounds.

I dont think its good value to get a guy that is not considered to to not the best fighter at +125. What advantage does he really have besides reach? I dont get it.Great value, that is not true in my opinion. The fight against linderman was close, which isn a world beater, and then lost to mpumbu, Now hes suddenly a good bet against an even better fighter in santos. Great value? Tell me why...

Another thing about Santos is that he has a hard time making weight. He cut a lot of weight against Prindle, rebounded his weight back, and has to do it again in 4 weeks? It's not going to help him any. If Hale has a good gameplan and the conditioning, I think he will beat Santos. Santos might take round 1 though.

I don't really like any of the lines per se, but expect them to move. Sergio line for sure.

Escudero/Griffin is right in the middle of my no play zone currently.

Was hoping for a good line on Palmer, but now I'm tempted the other way.

I won't pretend to know much about his opponent. Or what he is all about. But as noted in here he is a brawler and looking at record he has never sub'd 1 of the bums he has faced.

The thing here is Spong has been training with the Blackzillians who have a few elite fighters like Rashad and Reem, among other very good fighters, UFC level trainers. Where as his opponent probably trains at Gold's Gym shadow boxing in the mirror.

I wouldn't be surprised if Spong has 2x the ground game this guy has.

I'm not into laying -600 on anyone in a small show, parlay or otherwise. But it would be justified. By the sounds of it this Bartlett is your typical Scott Smith.

Little highlight video of the guy, some of his kickboxing fights... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9mkFxns0E0

Nothing too impressive imo... he's a little wild which makes me wonder what his chin might be like against richman's power, but he's got a few sick highlights in there. I think he's worth a sprinkle at the current odds, especially if the match stays upright. Gotta like a sanshou guy as a big dog in a prolonged stand up match.

Also think there is value on baker at current odds, worth another sprinkle.

Good points from you guys on santos, I was gonna hit him after his line dropped but wasn't even thinking about the last fight, recent weight cuts, etc... Hale's chances go way up if this gets past the 1st, imo.

    GL manana.

Anyone blind betting Spong large - just keep in mind what happened to Cosmo Alexandre in his Bellator (mma) debut... yeah, I know apples & oranges and all that sh*t.

Just don't let an elite kick boxing boner compromise your betting acumen, that's all.

    Good luck lads.
