    bitcoin deposit atm?

im new to bitcoin but just wondering if this is possible. can i just generate an address from my sportsbook and then manually type it in at the bitcoin Atm and deposit money so they will send my bitcoin to that address that i got from the sportsbook? basically trying to avoid using my personal wallet as the middle man? would this be possible?

sorry if this question was ask before by someone but i was just wondering if its possible bc it seem so simple if it is possible

I don't even know if a Bitcoin ATM will let you type in an address rather than just scan a QR code. I highly advise against manually entering the address and not scanning a QR code on ur phone into the ATM. Purely for the reason if you enter the address wrong (which is highly likely considering the length of the address and it being case sensitive), your money is lost forever. Why are you against using a personal wallet like Blockchain or Bread Wallet? The reason it's not really used here is because it's inconvenient (when I can buy bitcoin from an app from the comfort of home) and expensive (ATM fees can be almost 10%).

Usually when you deposit to your book, the book gives you a 15 minute window to deposit into the address to guarantee that rate before they credit your account whatever the rate is after 15 minutes.

If that's an issue, initiate the deposit from your phone, and when the book generates a QR code, setup the transaction on the ATM and scan that QR code from your phone into the ATM which will enter the receiving address for the ATM to send the bitcoin to the book.

However, sometimes the QR code the book generates will not work because it'll contain additional information the ATM doesn't need or recognize (5Dimes and Bovada have that issue I believe). If the ATM gives an error that it can't read the QR code the book generates, just copy the address the book gives you underneath the QR code and open a new browser window from your phone and go to www.blockchain.info and paste the address into the search box on the site and that'll generate a QR code the ATM can use since it just contains the address info and it you should be able to send from the ATM.

Even if you make a typo, the odds are in the billions of it getting sent... it has to be a valid address... it wont just send to any string of letters and numbers you enter

you could do that but my question is why not just use a blockchain or bread wallet and send it to yourself...then on to the sportsbook... yeah you may lose a $1 but... much easier
