I actually did win...but noticed that i was down at least quadruple the prize before i mindlessly started "chasing" (in ways i'd never do with a series of sports bets)...and know that if instead of getting bailed out with the large bets that saved me, i'd stayed cold...then i'd have been down MUCH more than quadruple...and am quite sure that i'd just as automatically have kept escalating until the inevitable small gain or huge loss)...

that DEFINITELY would have been me if i didn't hit a shit-luck 3-in-a-row one-hundred-pointers when i was down 400...if i'd gone 1-2 or 0-3...i'd been in deep water like where u ended up (and wisely called it quits)...might have even gone tilt-city and resorted to the max-200s which would have only killed me cuz i got almost 6k points right now...that's the problem with the max-200...it's big enough to keep hurting you...but not big enough to really dig yourself out of a jam...so once you're a 1000 or more down...and you're pissed and "want revenge"...u really can't get back..u just keep "saw-toothing" down with the house-edge killing u slowly...i know, i've done it more than i care to admit)

anyhow, u know now what i was trying to say...what I was trying to warn myself and others about...in sport-betting, it's exactly what's wrong with "marty" and "labby" methods...nearby targets but monstrous-sized losses you risk in pursuit of them...you "dodge the bullet" MOST of the time...making you think you're bullet proof...but eventually/inevitably (=not if but when)...the one losing streak that goes on "just one bet" too long and all those little gains you registered along the way just evaporate

so condolences, bro'...on the bright side it's only about $50...well spent if we learn about the wisdom of accumulating large losses while chasing after only a small net gain

well said...if you go at it with a gameplan like that you know the promo is eV over the lot of 'em (even if you eat 300 on any particular one)...AND...you save a hell of a lot of time over "grinding" unnecessarily (which allows the house edge to do more damage as you noted)...

i'll go at it your way next time...crisp and clear...the key being to decide beforehand where this very limited series ends for you and stick to it (and wait till the next promo...where you'll be in effect continuing under the favorable +eV conditions...rather than get lured by your stubborness and impatience into a potentially dangerous chase-grind with ever-worsening prospects)
