currently it's obviously an F since it doesn't even exist
however, even if it were currently working, it would still essentially be worthless since the SBR Store is also not working and thus there's no way for members to cash out any points they've won in the sportsbook or via trivia and contests
the new site owners need to understand that ignoring members' requests for updates on such matters is really hurting the site both short and long term

This will all be old news soon. It will get fixed and no one will remember what happened in late 2021. Write it down. The site lacks serious competition and all will be forgiven once things settle down.
It's a calculated risk the new owners are taking and they know the majority of us won't permanently leave. It's a good strategy even though the short term is a little painful.

SBR Sportsbook down?
Anybody else having trouble signing in to the sportsbook?
Do you need heavy hitters to fix the Book? What kind of software skills are required to run the lines feed?
Has the feel of a book/site bought out by a book or consortium of books to silence the masses. SBR may not even exist in the next year. The book is in dire need of live wagering. I'm more in the belief that the USA books now own SBR and it if it proves to be a pain in the ass to them, it will just be shut down one day without notice.
what's your guess on when both the book is fixed and the store is live again for cashing out points?
I have no info at all and this is just a guess but I would think to have everything running the way they would like should be before the Superbowl in mid February. Two weeks to Christmas so it would be nice to have an update from the new owners before then but I wouldn't count on it, attorneys love to cross all the t's and dot all the i's. The lack of communication between the new owners and the current staff makes me think that the exact details are still getting hammered out. What has come out so far has been worded carefully and and it has bought the owners more time but it has put the mods in a tough spot.
Again, just a gut call but I think they are taking their time to do it right and when the new program comes out we won't be disappointed. Even if that is the case, they get an "F" for timing and communication. Mergers and acquisitions always take more time than expected. Corporate decision makers rarely know what goes on in the day to day operations and it is usually the customers (us) who pay the price.
Be interested in other's thoughts.
This is not a major deal. A lot will start happening after the first of the year. There are things that cannot be done right now. It's a long-term play. They are not very concerned about the short term. This is a money losing operation.
I can't get in and my 1020 point balance is not visible. So I don't know.
the worse thing about this - silence about what's going on and what they expect to be the timeline for different problems. tells me they just don't care about SBR or the people here. maybe just looking for a quick flip or maybe close it down. who knows. they don't tell us anything.

They have said they are investing for the long term. That means they are willing to take losses and are going to put out new stuff. It does not mean they are going to get this site to work.
that means nothing to me. we all invest for the long term. what we do now effects later.
Your opinion is not important. They are making moves for five years from now. They don't care what you think 5 days from now.

don't care much about what happens. just an opinion. some seem offended. like others were offended when they abruptly stopped the SBR store but some cashed some points out because they knew it was happening. don't get why anyone should or would care about my opinions.
If pissing off most of the long time posters was the goal of this new ownership they are doing a heck of a job. Maybe this is the goal. Buy this website and destroy it without telling anything to current mods/employees of the previous ownership.

It's a free ride until January. If they do not produce then, the volume drops.
This is why it was a brilliant sell by previous owner. Perfect timing capitalizing on State of US legal books knowing transitions take time. Open up similar platform across the street knowing most of the old members you made millions off of will follow you and your Mods that members have been posting with the past 10 plus years and are like a family. Brilliant.

yes that sounds logical on the surface, but BMR has already been online since 2015 or 2016 i believe
now, i suppose it's possible the former SBR owner then recently purchased BMR to kinda rebrand it as his new site, but that doesn't seem quite as likely
or, of course, maybe the old SBR owner had very good foresight and it was him who created BMR as a safety valve around 6 years ago just in case he would ever need to jump ship. and way back then he intentionally never marketed it so as to keep it kinda hidden, and now is only marketing it because it's go time now... i suppose that's always possible too
There is a lot going on. All is not what it appears.
A lot of the Mods posted at both starting March 2018 if you do a little research by join dates and their 1st posts now that you know who is who at both sites. I noticed one that goes back to 2016 so this has been in the works for a while. Just brilliant and nice that they foreseen the issues with US going legal and had a plan where they could continue to make lots of money and posters would still have a home with familiar faces that they spend more time with than their own family members.

Anyone else having trouble logging into SBR Sportsbook last couple days?
I have not been able to login to betpoints sportsbook the last couple days. I cleared cache and cookies, rebooted computer but keep getting error codes.
