Peavy. Appreciate the feedback. I have read a few of your post and I am starting to take more control over my bets. So thanks I used to be a good gambler that had discipline. Somewhere along the lines I started wiNing chalk ml and turned 280 into 3k at 5dimes. Ever since then I seem to be chasing that again. I'm assuming that was his "loophole" that it doesn't say he has to win. However, the majority of the posts state that he has to win and he confirmed them. Plus I still have an outside chance of winning the leaderboard, so even with that "loophole" he'd still owe me.

Also, as for if he's banned, watch the bowl thread. If they open up another spot then he's gone. If he doesn't make his picks, I'd assume he's banned as well.

Any update from SBR about what happened here? I guess they don't publicly announce it, but the fact that snipr hasn't logged in in three days seems like a good sign. Of course it might be just a short term banning, one week or something, but I can still hope! At the very least if he was banned, even for a short period, hopefully part of the punishment will be not allowing him to compete in the bowl contest since it seems clear he has pulled several unethical/illegal stunts which are probably where those 2500 points come from. So in effect, confiscating them seems more than fair even if he isn't banned for life.

Unless it's proven Sniper's 2,500 college bowl entry fee came from "unethical/illegal stunts," those 2,500 pts should absolutely not be confiscated. Rather, those pts should be distributed to pay the plethora of poker bets Sniper lost.

Correct, Sniper owes more than 2,500. He owes 15k, 10k in poker debts & 5k in defaulted pt loans.

Considering all his debt, others are more deserving than SBR to receive Sniper's last 2,500.

Are you sure that SBR didn't just disable his PMs so that he couldn't conduct any "illicit" activity via them (as he himself admitted to doing, whether it was true or not) rather than outright banning him? But I do tend to agree that the fact that he hasn't logged in since 11/30 does make it much more likely he was banned. Having BTP picks isn't necessarily relevant as he could have made those before being banned.

Keep in mind snipr keeps claiming that he isn't going to lose the poker bets - not sure what his angle is, but obviously he has some loophole in mind. So assuming he isn't banned, whether he wins 55k in the bowl contest or not, does anyone really think he's going to pay off those leaderboard bets? He clearly has some reason to think that he isn't losing these bets even though obviously by the intent of what everyone thought those bets were to be, he definitely did.

Guess time will reveal the answer to all of this...

He is currently banned(I'd guess permanent as he has had some issues previously if I remember correctly). He can probalby make BTP picks as that is a a seperate site unto itself and whoever banned probably didnt go in and manually delete from BTP. As for bowl contest he will not be able to make picks as he will not be able to log in.

Good news downsouth - I presume you have inside knowledge that this is true and are not just speculating?

Just hope the ban is permanent. As I said above, I tried to give the guy the benefit of the doubt when the four horsemen theory came about, but seeing some of the other things that he has now done (one of which he flat out admitted to!), can't really do so anymore. And if he cheated in poker for at least a month, who knows how many points he essentially stole from other posters. Given his overall actions, definitely not the sort who the community or SBR I think would want around here so hopefully he's gone forever.
