    Best April Pitchers(2003-2005)

    Here are some of Aprils best pitchers over the last three
    years. The W-L are not for them individually but their
    team's record in starts:

    Loaiza(13-2 2.98)
    Santana(9-1 4.40)
    Schmidt(10-3 3.13)
    Hudson(12-4 2.97)
    Prior(7-1 1.45)
    Willis(8-2 1.91)
    Webb(8-3 2.43)
    P.Martinez(9-8 2.89)
    C.Lee(7-3 3.75)
    Peavy(10-5 2.49)
    Pavano(10-5 3.77)
    O.Perez(11-4 3.36)
    Beckett(10-6 3.42)

    The average ERA for starters in April over the last three
    years is 4.70 in the AL, 4.34 in the NL

    Is that the teams' W-L records when those pitchers start in April, or just the pitchers' stats? I'm a bit confused since I show Pedro only starting 15 games in April from 2003-05 (would make it difficult to have 17 decisions that way), and coming away with a 3.09 ERA. HERE

    Santana must get alot of run support. Look at his era compared to his record.
