CC is a monster right now.. His 3rd complete game today and a shutout with only 3 hits

I don't think they will win that division sir. They will most likely fade down the stretch at the end of the year just like they always have before.

Too early to tell. Cubs were hot and people were saying they will run away with the division. It will go down to the wire.

Thing is, the Brewers now have the pitching to kill those losing streaks that eat teams up... As long as Parra, Sheets, and CC stay healthy I would say this one is over as well

I like this Brewers team, until they get to the bullpen. I believe a playoff spot is in reach, but I dont trust that pen in any situation.

Just send both these teams to the playoffs. Forget the team in the NL Worst.

    +1000000000

I've witnessed so many blown saves, and have had a nervous breakdown on a nightly basis in the 8/9th inning.

i'll give someone brewers @ 100/1 to win the central. Won't happen. Cubs are far better than the brew crew and i'd even consider the cardinals better than them.

The Brewers are good. The bullpen kills them. It is hard to back them, or any team from the central when it comes to late innings. I cant think of one team in the Central where its game over when the closer comes in(Wood the only possible exception, but he has Marmol in front of him)

Cant sell the Yankees short. They are always there in the playoffs. 3 games back in the WC, 3.5 in the east, both teams they are chasing are in there division. I would be more shocked if they made past the first round than them not making the playoffs. This is just my opinion though, and not worth much. I still expect the White Sox to fall off the map and Minnesota taking the AL Central

    also
anyone who thinks the cards are anything more than an 83-84 win team is insane
they have no pen and they have no starters

the brewers have 2 of the top 5 pitchers in thenl, top 3 hitting

the cards are smoke and mirrors and steroids

its cubs or milwaukee, or both, to the playoffs

Both lineups are talented and both teams have 2 solid aces. This race will come down to the final days of the season.

Isnt he still on the DL? When is he back. He is a dominant closer, and the Brewers wont do it with Torres, would be a good pick up.

LOL brewers do not have the 3rd best lineup in baseball ryan.

Cubs/redsox/rangers/twins/yankees/cardinals all have better lineups. You are on crack pal

MIL is better than STL w/o a doubt in my mind right now.

They have taken 7 of 10 this year from STL and are going to sweep them tomorrow on the road. MIL and CHC are basically even right now. I'd give a slight edge in overall team/managing to CHC, but MIL has more home games left than CHC and about 10 more games with the NL West while CHC has none left. In addition, MIL took 4 of 6 this year from CHC, and both series were played in CHC. CHC has been a very poor road team, and historically MIL has been too, but this year they are over .500 on the road and still the same dominant team at home. If I had to set a line based on all available information, I'd probably make MIL a slight favorite to win the N.L. Central given their schedule compared to CHC's. Clearly, MIL has the easier of the two schedules and right now the better pitching rotation.

Buddy's Odds to win the NL Central:

    MIL -113
    CHC +103

    Umm, twins? yankees?

The Yankees have scored 2 runs or less in like 40 of their games this year? How do they have a better lineup? Maybe on paper, or when healthy....but right now MIL has a much better lineup than NYY and MIN for that matter.

    team avg's from mlb.com

brewers team avg is a whopping .256

Not saying they have a bad lineup but top 3 in the league is far from true.

I would take Tigers, Twins, Yankees over Mil any day of the week.

    Even if were as follows...

    Verlander v Sebathia
    Hernandez v Sebathia
    Mussina v Sebathia

I think verlander vs sabathia would be a good match. Trust me I respect sabathias stuff. People don't do their homework and just assume sabathia can't pitch no more because he had a bad starting record. He's got some sick stuff.

And your point is? This is ridiculous logic?

How about runs per game, after all that is the name of the game.

    RPG

    MIL 4.7
    NYY 4.7
    MIN 4.9

Keep in mind, MIL plays in the NL, so basically MIL is outscoring both those teams.
