    San diego -116

Peavy has never lost in his career to cincy. He is 5-0 with a 2.08 ERA against cincy and -116 looks pretty damn good.

    K.C +112

Yeah they got rocked last night. However, Rogers seems to have a hard time with KC. He is 0-2 with an 8.10 ERA this year against KC and 20-18 lifetime with a 4.08 ERA.

Yea, but the Brewers can't hit righties for shit and Lohse is a righty. Brewers couldn't hit Jeff Fogg when they played cinci or any right handed pitchers. This game may come down to the wire once the starting pitchers have left so the dog in the Brewers may be good...

yeah, it's true, MIL is not as strong against RHP as they are against LHP. Most of their lineups has very poor numbers against RHP. I'd lean toward STL in this game.

MIL beat Lohse in April this year, but that was fluke win as STL was up 3-0 in the 8th and Lohse was crusing. Eventually they won in xtra innings. Good spot for STL IMO.

I'm taking the Cardinals(-1.5) +150 that I got off wsex for 1 unit. Suppan is sht on the road and Lohse has been a stud this year. Cardinals get some revenge tonight.

I can't pick a side in this one but I think there is some slight value with the Brewers. Suppan has had good success pitching against his former team, while Lohse hasn't faired that well against the Crew. This is Suppan's first start, fresh off the DL for those that didn't know. I think the rest was actually much needed for him. He arm will be fresh tonight...

I like St louis and the under tonight. I like Loshe's game as of late, but I think the safer play is the under tonight due to it being an important game to both team(usually lean on unders in those situations)

Yeah I know. That's why I'm not on this game. I think Suppan will be fresh. He's a veteran who's come off the DL quite a few times before. But there is always that question. He has had success against the Cards so its a pretty good spot for him to return. Although, if he does make an early exit, the Brewers bullpen could easily give the game up. I would have to take the Brewers if I took a side but there are too many question marks in this one.

Cardinals are the better team with the better pitcher on the mound. the line doesn't look like value either way though.

I certainly didn't envision this. I didn't think Lohse would leave a tied ball game.

Just like I said it would happen. It happened. Game came down to the wire.. Just like the Padres game. I had a feeling that would come down to the wire so I left the game alone...

thats why starting pitchers are overrated, its not as important as people think, on the betting side.
more important is offense and how teams have played lately

brewers are better than stl, we wll know this. we all know stl has no pen
    bad bet

The truth is, the Cards should have scored more runs earlier in the game while Suppan was vulnerable. I would do this all over again.

The truth is that the game has passed Tony LaRussa by.

This game was almost a facsimilie of the game Lohse started against MIL in May at Busch Stadium. In that game, he had a 3-0 and was pitching amazing and gave it all up in the 8th and MIL won it in extra innings.

So today, what happens. STL is up 3-0 early and Lohse is dominating. In the late innings, Lohse begins to wear down and what does LaRussa do? Nothing...he just leaves him in there to take a pounding. You would think that LaRussa learned his leson. Guess not. Bad managing.....

LaRussa is a crap manager. He is the Cardinal's version of Torre.

It's difficult enough to cap the games, now you have to factor in idiotic managing maneuvers.....

Offense is not more important than starting pitching. It is definitely a factor but like I said earlier, Lohse has had his troubles with the Brewers while Suppan has had good success against the Cards. The game was pretty evenly matched and played out that way. It could have gone either way. As BB said, if LaRussa takes Lohse out of the game the second he gets into trouble in the 8th, the game may have played out differently. I couldn't take a side here and would have been on the Brewers but I still think I made the right choice.
