What exactly about Pitt entices you to take them? MIL is one of the best home teams (27-13, +14.2 units), one of the best teams against left-handed starting pitching (18-8, +9.4 units), and today they start a pitcher whose splits clearly show him to be a much better pitcher at home than on the road (2.22 ERA at home vs. 6.04 ERA on the road).
I just dont' know man....i am pretty contrarian in my own right, but sometimes you just got to lay the chalk. I've been laying it with MIL the past 2 days and will do so again today.
Although, if Pitt wins it's okay b/c i have them for OVER 69 win season win total so I can live with that, but IMO, salvaging this game will be real tough with the way MIL is playing.
Well first of all, I think Suppan is garbage, and I think his last poor home start vs. Baltimore is an indication that his home numbers are ready to come in line with his true ability. Secondly, Duke is pitching well, allowing three earned runs or less in six of his last seven starts and lowering his ERA for the whole year to a commendable 3.88. Finally, Duke allowed one earned run in five innings when he last pitched in Malwaukee last year, and he is a better pitcher now than he was then. So I actually thought +144 was good value.
