The Yanks and Mariners get it done for me last night. Hudson started slow and lost to make it a 2-1 Wednesday. Today:
Cubs (Lilly) -125
White Sox (Floyd) EV
Indians (Carmona) -125
Cubs
Lilly has started 08 not looking good at all. He is 0-2 and an era over 9. But I have a feeling we are going to see a different Lilly today and Cubs have been destroying the ball in this series so far against the Reds. The Reds have not given me any reason to think they aren't going to get swept.
White Sox
Floyd has started 2-0 and the Sox have been impressive so far on the road going 5-2. I will take my chances with the Sox as Thome finally got on track with a home run last game. Floyd is pitching to well to give up this even money situation.
Indians
Sabathia was lit up last night by the Tigers but I think we will see a different result today as Carmona takes the mound. Indians will be looking for revenge as they were taken to the wood shed last night. I see Carmona getting the necessary run support tonight as Verlander has been getting shelled early on this season. Verlander has an era over 6 and is 0-2 so far. Going back to 2006, Verlander is only 1-5 verus the tribe in 6 starts (3-5 in his career with over a 6 era in 9 starts). If he continues to pitch poorly he will be in for a long night.
if any moderator reads this, there is an error on the scoreboard for the games listed for thursday. it says the dbacks (not rays) are playing the twins.
