It's that time of the year again. Let's play some ball!
C.C. Sabathia takes the mound in the Indians opener against Mark Buehrle and the Chicago White Sox. The 2007 Cy Young winner should continue his dominance against the Sox. Sabathia is 16-3 in his career against the Sox. Meanwhile, Buehrle comes off of a disappointing season where he was the talk of swirling trade rumors but nobody was willing to give much for him. Look for the Indian bats to pound Buehrle and C.C. to shut down the meager Sox offense. CLEVELAND RL (-1.5) +125
Barry Zito was awarded the most lucrative contract in baseball history by the Giants and rewarded them with an absolutely horrid season. Zito has not looked any better in spring training and with the loss of Bonds, it is still a question of how much run support the Giants pitchers will get. Brad Penny, on the other hand, is coming off of an impressive year. Along with his effectiveness on the mound, Penny is as much of an offensive weapon and is by far the best hitting pitcher in the game. Although the Dodgers are starting the year with a couple of key injuries, I just can't see how the Giants deny Joe Torre his first win as the Dodgers manager.

Squeeked out the first one. Without Jim Thome and a horrible performance from the Indians bullpen, it shouldn't have been close. There were also a few controversial calls in this one.
