    The Shadow, August 6th. 18-6 SBR pick run

    Back from vacation and ready to improve on the streak. Here is today's pick:

    PHI -128 vs nym. Blanton over Niese. The Phillies won’t have forgotten the butt kicking handed to them the last time they played the Mets. They will be playing with a little extra motivation today. Philadelphia is playing very well right now (8-2 in their last 10) while the Mets are not (4-6 in their last 10). The last time New York pitcher Jonathan Niese took the mound, he was rocked for 6 ER in only 4 innings of work. On top of this is the Mets inability for to generate runs lately. Go with Philly at home.

    The Mets are just plain awful but the Phillies have burned me soooo many timesd thi season (along with Boston). I promised myself I wasn't ever laying $$ on either of those teams the rest of the season but if you're on them I guess it's a good thing. Hopefully you can keep that streak going nd not go cold..
