    Here's my rationale:

Bucco backers were a day off on the lefty to get the job done vs. Cincy. I think Maholm continues to do well against the Reds here (PIT has beaten them twice this year with Maholm on the bump, and he's allowed just 2 ER in 13.2 IP). Leake's given up 17 hits in 14.1 IP vs. PIT this year, and 19 ER in his last 31.2 IP.

Guthrie has pitched very well for the O's lately (1.31 ERA in his last three starts). Let's face it: Baltimore is favored for a reason here, with Trevor Bell opposing Guthrie.

Seattle is the longshot, but I really like this Vargas kid. I know the M's have been awful in the first games of series and I know Lewis has shut them down this year. This is just a gut lean and nothing more.

Mind you, none of these are plays -- yet. I don't like this card much at all.

balti is your best shot IMO.

That's also what I think, Balty might squeeze you a win but that's all.

Pirates got shutout tonight -- though it was by a stud pitcher, don't expect anything better from them tomorrow.

Texas is just too much for Seattle.

I like the White Sox early, and Latos late. Square plays, but what's not to like about fading the Tigers and Dodgers right now?

    I think Leake's hitting a rookie wall.

You know NC, I can't understand how Leake beat Wood on spring training, have you also noticed the huge difference between those two?

I'm not sure how Leake did what he did for the first two months of the season.

If the Bucs and Mets weren't so cold right now, I'd fade the hell out of both Leake and Lowe tomorrow.

I only like Baltimore NC. How did that early sharp movement work out? Were they sharp or a little dull?

Looks like Padres' bats woke up, might be a good time to do it.

    Considering it myself.

The Padres are everything that's right about a whole being greater than the sum of its parts in baseball.

The Dodgers are the exact opposite.

That's probably why I'll fade Detroit early, too.

Porcello and Buerhle didn't have very good outings last time. Maybe over is the way to go?

They'll probably win one tomorrow -- just not sure which.

    Buehrle's an enigma.

Yeah, guy can go five and give up 6 but he can also make a cg shutout.

But I'm going to have to feed my addiction, so I'm trying to find an angle.

I love fading a pitcher on his debut, especially a guy who came to be an ace.

If Lilly came to be an ace, this team's got more problems than we know about....

I wish Padilla was pitching -- probably make a bigger play there. If it's Lilly, I'll still go with SD, but not as big.

I've already said Seattle is the biggest longshot. Profit with CHW and BAL already, with PIT up 6-1, so I might take it easy on SD and SEA.

Yeah I know. I was just hinting that we should take Seattle as you surprised a few people in this thread.

Why didn't I just leave the stupid KC/OAK total alone?
