    Votto out for Reds tonight

Great...... getting the night off. Hope Cairo can get it done. He has played well.

    GO REDS!

    Thats why the line moved...

The person that was boosting the Pirates had info on Votto not playing.

It's not like Votto does much vs. lefties, though.

Of course, if it's a typical Ohlendorf performance, there will be a righty in by the fourth inning anyway.

    Yes and no.

He was shelled against Houston on July 17, and only pitched 0.2 innings on July 28 after getting drilled in the head. So the 6-game stretch is somewhat misleading.

Otherwise, he pitched well against MIL, HOU and PHI. The last one is the only impressive performance in my book -- none are as good as the Reds offensively, even without Votto.

The Princeton grad might be smart enough to pitch low and away to the Free swinging Red Legs.
