Last night was a glitch in the matrix. Giants get back on track tonight against Lopez. Cain is back and well rested, the All Star Break was what he needed and I look for Matt Cain to catch fire for the next few weeks.
Don't let that win/loss record fool you, Cain is one of the best pitchers in the National League. Hammer this at -127.
I'd love to be that confident but going on the road with no travel day is never a sure thing. Best SF has going is the 14 inning game ARI played last night. I loved the LA series as much as you but what shouldn't get lost in the series was the Giants bats not being as hot as they have been this month. They need to wait out Lopez and get to the ARI bullpen in the 6th or sooner. Then it's downhill. I'd love to pound the Giants (you know how big a fan I am) but haven't touched it yet. Cain dominated ARI in SF this year but has been up and down in Arizona.
