What a joke. They let Cahill throw FOUR pitches last inning. FOUR. At least see some pitches and work the pitch count boys. I can't stand when teams chase the first pitch especially when a pitcher is getting into a high pitch count. A pitcher should never have a four-pitch inning. Basically inexcusable.
A fluke 2-run opening by the A's will probably end this game in their favor....
Yeah, basically game over. Cahill only at 80 pitches so he'll throw into the 9th and Bailey will close it out. Pitifull performance considering Detroit had 4 hits and 4 walks yet failed to get a run. Still a chance at a comeback but a real small one at that.
And then they pinch-hit the guy whose 2-for-2 on the day with Gerald Laird (who's 0-1 vs. Blevins lifetime). Laird of course promptly strikes out swinging.
