I played them all straight, shoe. Parlay was just chump change -- would've been a nice icing on the cake, though.

Meh -- I like just picking games out and starting threads with discussions on those. I'm not good/consistent/experienced enough for anyone to tail me -- I see how angry and crazy some posters get when good cappers have cold streaks and the quiet masses start to get restless. I've always been stunned by how many posters blindly follow someone, say "let's do this" or "we've got this" beforehand when they didn't "do" a damn thing, then try to throw them under the bus if the play winds up being a loser.

we were reminded that the Reds really are not that good and may have been overplaying.
time to get off the Reds bandwagon is now. they are dead to me for at least two weeks I wouldn't touch them vs.. umm.. THE ASTROS.

This was a no-play, Snow (again, see the warning thread). I should have known better. Reds are that good -- in fact, I think they can win the NL Central. Seriously. Paulino had been pitching pretty well lately, just not getting "W's" because the Astros don't hit for him. Leake beat Paulino earlier in the season 6-4, but 4 of the Reds' runs were unearned.

Personally, I love parlays. If you can pick winners, you can win parlays. Don't parlay other peoples picks. Cap the games and parlay the ones YOU love. You wont win every day, but the return is awesome!

I dont risk more than 5-10 dollars on a parlay and I dont go over 4 teams. 5 teams If I am playing +1.5 rl in a lot of games. Usually only 2-4 team parlays.

Betting like this with a decent bankroll is a quick way to build that roll. You wont win every day, but if you can stay focused and disciplined, You can build your bankroll very quickly. Just pick winners!!

and THAT is an objective answer ??
can there be such a thing in this matchup ? REALLY ???

does it matter ?? I was among VERY FEW on SBR who even said the Celtics could make it this far and they are HERE over Cavs and Magic.
I remain objective and still choose the Celtics.
Arguments can be convincing for either team to win.
My Celtics choice is not blind homerism they are a Championship caliber team who CAN beat the Lakers.

not from Bean Town but about an hour away in RI.

word is that the team is glad the Lakers won because it's a more advantageous matchup for Boston to play than the Suns.. believe that or not it's the word.

This is so true. I love to bet the + money. But only the ones that I actually believe will win. You have to have a balance between + and - but like I said before... If you believe they will win then bet them. Do your homework. Check the most recent stats. If something makes you doubt a pick then lay off! If they still win then you are no worse off than you were if you had played them.

Use common sense and you will win. Don't look at lines, look at the game that will be played.

I don't look at lines before I cap. I look at starter (Sagaran and L3) , Bullpen (Available and L3), Home/Away, Ump (for totals only), last 5, streaks, and then if I still cant find a reason to not bet on the team I'm leaning towards, Trends.

Then If the line looks reasonable for my pick, I play it. Its not rocket science. Its Baseball

You had to figure that offense would come back to reality eventually with Votto being injured and Miguel Cairo batting 2nd in the line-up as his replacement every game.
