Public betting percentages may be bs

I honestly think most public betting sources are complete bs.

It says 77% are on the Phillies today but I’ve checked over 20 posts and literally 20/20 people are on the Mets.

I've always wondered about those types of numbers.

what they actually represent beyond "the obvious"? ... i.e. collation of data and other things.

and the significance of them. although in theory, I think the measure should be important to a bettor.
