It looks to me like bettors are still backing last year’s standings, winter projections, and home field advantage. Fine with me because the first two are irrelevant and the third is always overvalued.
The reality is that the Tigers and White Sox are currently playing much better ball than the Indians or Twins. That may or may not hold up, but we are not, today, wagering on last year’s results or this year’s final standings; we have only this year’s current info to guide us on the probability of today’s results.
In baseball and today’s sports wagering it is always “what have you done for me lately?” that counts. BOL
