will CUBS comeback from 0-3 like the 2004 Red Sox (vs. Yanks) ?

which was the best comeback series in MLB ever... that was great.

i know it is the same story basically. and anything COULD happen..
but the mets are NOT killing them, they are beating them.

isee how good the Mets are... Mets pitching does not care.
    they just close mofos down

really big comebacks happen after a team was killed,
and they rise from the dead. Cubs are still in games.
    never down by 5+ Runs..

i suppose it theoretically COULD... but i just feel the Mets
    are too dialed in.

what a story that would be if they did, BOTH vs, New York teams

hmm... let me think about this.

They would have to beat Matz, Harvey, Syndergaard, DeGrom in that order... tough task

Mets pitching is too good to lose four straight

i would agree... but ALL OF YOU do understand that NOBODY thought the Red Sox
could win 4 STRAIGHT against THAT Yankee team//

i do NOT think that Cubs can do it.. but remember, nobody thought that either

If you're planning on a Cubs series bet, you better find better ways to spend that money. Mets have the better starting pitching and better closer. Have you watched the Mets closer, Familia? Do you know the meaning of "Familia"? If you want to know let me know.

i think 100% that the METS will close it out... i was just pointing out
that the circumstances are somewhat similar

i doubt it but if they did it i would consider it a greater task achieved then the red sox series. Difference is the red sox knew the world series was basically the yanks. Even if the cubs did it they would lose to the royals

Mets pitching depth this year > Yankees pitching depth that year

Makes comeback that much more unlikely.

    8% chance.

If the series does go back to NY, all the pressure will be on them.

Could be more like 2003 NLCS in reverse with Prior/Wood going home.

Probably won't happen. But is it impossible? No, it's not impossible.

Cubs have had numerous winning streaks during the season.

    Chip and a Chair.

    One Game at a time.

The final win is always the toughest to get.

All of these cliches apply. That's why they play the games.

Anti karma...The back to the future day. Hate to see the Cubs get closed out on THAT Day.

    Should be fun. Everyone enjoy

Not saying Cubs will win, but the Cubs are small favorites tonight, and looking ahead to Games 5 and 6 I would anticipate that the Cubs would again be small favorites in both (Harvey @ Lester; Arrieta @ Syndergaard). Agree or disagree with that?

Teams that have not won a World Series in 86+ years are a perfect 1-0 after trailing 0-3 in a LCS.

Ok I think this is a little bit of a knee jerk reaction here. Lets look at a list of World Series Winners since 2005.....

The ones that jump out to me right off the bat are the 2007 Boston Red Sox, 2009 New York Yankees, 2010 & 2012 San Francisco Giants,or the 2011 St. Louis Cardinals and there are a couple more I question if this Mets team would beat them....

As far as your other statement or question I think the Cubs can still come back and win this thing and at +1100 odds to win the series I think its worth $25 or $50 shot.
