    Yanks' McCarthy (3-10, 4.96) is -125 Saturday against Reds' Simon (12-3, 2.70)

Draw your own conclusions from that one.

I would probably take Cincy here if they were -125.

In 3 career starts against NYY, Simon is 0-2, 5.68.*Ellsbury is 4-for-6 (.667) with a double and a triple against him, and Teixeira is 6-for-11 (.545) with a double, a homer and three RBIs...

I wish I would have seen this before I picked CIN ML today.

I wouldn't worry about that. Simon was not a good pitcher in his Baltimore days, 2008-11. He has figured stuff out in the past two years. Today's Simon is much better than the circa 2010 version.

What I found interesting was that despite all his time with the O's, Simon has seen just 1 inning of action at Yankee Stadium. I'm on the Reds in this one.

the regression is just around the corner for simon, but man mccarthy is bad. I am considering an over play.

I was fading Simon too and other pitchers due for regression, but it's damn hard to get the timing right. Ride the streak or lay off and

Simon has been money this year specially on the road. He is underrated to the bookies , vs volquez of Pitts he was a +135 underdog.

Totals of 7.5 in Yankee stadium are rare enough...with McCarthy pitching tho how do you not take the over

I'm running down to the bank to lay a lot on the Yankees.

This might sound weird but maybe McCarthy and Jeter might have a really great game.

The safest bet to lay a lot for me is NYY +1.5 @ -250, but I only have ML -135 here in Vegas. Too lazy to drive to multiple places. Maybe Will Hill's got it.

I watched McCarthy's pitch location right before and after he came to the Yankees, and he is really trying to hit the corners. He is now coming hard into the batters, and then hitting the edges on the outside. He might be tough to hit today.

It looks like Jeter is making better contact with the ball now, and maybe he might hit an extra-baser in a key situation today.

My tots ... gotta go and add-on this bet

This is too bad and reason I don't like playing sides.
Made little sense to back Yanks today and value on Reds.
Totals are way to go in mlb.

Votto and Phillips are on the DL. They weren't going to play.

Bruce is in the lineup. So is Hamilton.

Not sure who you figured was going to make such a huge difference. Ryan Ludwick? He's a bum. Heisey homered in his place anyway.

Simon got pounded. The regression has begun.

I'd like to thank Alfredo Simon for giving it up like a fukn bitch to the Yankees. Good job McCarthy! Even Jeter got an RBI.

You have tobe real stupid to think that sharp bettors sit and watch line movement all day long then decided to bet or not on the game and which side to choose.

My guess is that steam plays work almost 100% of the time. I've seen some that misfired, but not too many.
