It’s been a while since I’ve posted on SBR, but wanted to come back and start a thread tracking my baseball picks. Had to create a new account on her since it's been years. I started last Monday tracking my picks and had very good results in the first week. I’m not actually betting these games because I can’t afford it right now, but here is the system I’m using:
Assuming a $10,000 bankroll and betting 1% ($100) on each wager. I am playing every baseball side and total each day. Doing this over the past week my results were the following (although there are a few basketball sides and total included in these numbers, but very few and were a net-loss for me):
Record: 122-84-9 + 32.4697% +$3,246.97
Obviously I’m not going to carry last week’s results into this thread so I’ll start from scratch here, but wanted to give you an idea of the method I’m using and what the results have been so far. Betting every side and total may be crazy, but I noticed in the past that when I played games I felt really good about they often lost, and when I didn’t play games I wasn’t so confident in, they would win. So I figure I’ll take that aspect out of it and just play them all. I’ll post all my plays here daily, likely the night before, and follow-up with the days results when all the games are finished.
Also, I get my lines from 5Dimes. Today's picks are based on lines from last night, so they probably don't match with the lines at the time I posted the plays. In the future, now that my login issues here have been resolved, the plays will matchup with the 5Dimes lines at that time.
All my plays are wagering $100, whether it's a favorite or a dog. So for each baseball game$100 is bet on the side and $100on the total. I don't feel more confident in any one pick, and I never feel that a pick is a "lock". I'll have today results posted after the games, and track my overall record, $ amount that I'm up or down, and percentage I'm up or down in my "bankroll", which again is $10,000. As the bankroll (hopefully) increases, I'll likely increase my betting amount, and when I decide to do that I'll make sure to note that.
Alright, day 1 is in the books and it's a day in the green, which is always a good day. While playing every side and total, most games I'll split, the goal is to go 2-0 more than 0-2, and that's what happened again today. So far I've been doing this for 8 days (1 posted) and have not had a day in the red yet. I know that can't last forever, but so far, so good. Here are the results:
Reds -145 & Under 7 -105 (game PPD)
A's +135 & Over 7.5 +100 (Win & Loss) Net +$35
Rays -122 & Over 9 -105 (Loss & Win) Net -$4.76
Brewers +154 & Over 7 +110 (Win & Win) Net +$264
D-Backs -125 & Over 9 +110 (Loss & Win) Net +10
Angels -125 & Over 8 +100 (Win & Win) Net +$180
Giants -157 & Under 6.5 -115 (Loss & Loss) Net -$200
Day Total: 7-5-2; +$284.24
Bank Total: $10,284.24
YTD Total: 7-5-2; +$284.24; +2.8424%
Hopefully I'll get tomorrow's games posted tonight, if not I'll have them up by early afternoon tomorrow.
