    Book Recomendations for Bases

    Curious where everybody plans on playing at this year. I've never played at BetJamaica but I'm leaning towards adding them with their dime lines.

    Any other reduced juice SBR trusted bases books out there?

    I was discussing this in this thread a few weeks ago.

    I know for sure that I will be using Matchbook. You gotta love the exchange when it comes to betting bases, not to mention the safety of your funds. The only problem I see with them is that there website is not firefox friendly at all, but I'm sure they will have that problem resolved come baseball season.

    I will also be using 5Dimes once again this year. Not only do they offer nickel overnight lines, but they use the dimeline up to -190 and a 15 cent line up to 210.

    I do like the safety of Cris for betting bases, but theres no way I'm gonna play there when they use the 20 cent lines. However DSI is part of the Cris family of books which does use the dimeline, and thats always a nice alternative for safety purposes.

    The only problem I have with DSI though is there dimeline breaks a bit too short for me.

    * 105 to 139 – 10 cents
    * 145 to 169 – 15 cents
    * 175 to 189 – 20 cents
    * 200 to 225 – 30 cents
    * 240 to 285 – 40 cents
    * and the line gets progressively wider as the line gets higher.
    BetJamaica is one book that everyone probably does have on there list. They use a dimeline up to -190, and then the lines break very competitive after that (.13 line up to 195 and .15 up to 205). The one thing I really like about BetJM is the fact that it's part of the Spiro family of books, and that guy will sell one of his Kidneys in order to pay you if you win.

    The only downfall that BetJM has is the fact that they are recreational type book.

    I was considering using Cascade, but there having way too many payout issues right now. I really like the fact they Cascade uses a dimeline up to -190, Not to mention the reduce vig on the totals. Hopefully Lenny will get those payout problems resolved before the baseball season starts, because if not I just can't consider playing there.

    I still haven't decided on the rest yet, but heres a few I have looked into already.

    Sorry for the repost then and thanks for the response. Didn't see any chatter in the Bases section and thought I'd ping everyone for their thoughts.

    I know its been a topic on my mind the last few days. Those full juice lines would all but wipe out my profits in bases.

    I'll just to check out Matchbook as I've yet to make it over there. Do you happen to know what books BetCris (Bookmaker) will do a book to book transfer to?

    dan, i find it interesting you have issues with matchbook in firefox. i only use firefox at home and matchbook works real well. yet, last month when i was traveling in mexico i'd sometime be using computers that only had IE (albeit not the most recent versions) and i couldn't even login to matchbook, let alone place a bet.

    Matchbook

    I am a U.S. player looking for a sportsbook to replace Pinnacle for baseball. I noticed a lot of references to Matchbook, with which I am unfamiliar. Based on a quick browse of their website, it appears that their lines come from a different 'source' than what is typical for other books.

    - Can somebody explain, in a short paragraph or two, how the lines are generated?

    - Are the lines easier to 'beat' than those offered by other books? I'd be worried that one would be wagering against only experts, rather than the general betting public.

    - There were a couple of mentions of difficulties using Matchbook for day games. I prefer using the overnight lines from other books, often placing all of my wagers by 8 am Eastern time. Would this timing be unsuitable for Matchbook?

    Thank you for any help you maybe able to provide.

    BBD - I love Matchbook as well, but my main problem is the obvious. Neteller is no more. I only used NT when depositing/withdrawing from them. What method(s) of deposits do you feel are the safest/most secure now?

    Welcome to the SBR forum bxm0.

    Matchbook is an exchange and either you can put offers out there for others to accept, or you can accept other peoples offers.

    I actually feel that international money orders are the best/safest way to send funds in these rough times. If you don't wanna wait the 2-3 days for a book to receive your funds and credit your account, then I would use Moneygrams or **. The problem with using those two wire methods are the possible "red flag" problems you might get at some point.

    Despite all the hoops the U.S. customers have jump through nowadays, I don't feel that it's a matter of sending and receiving funds. The problem is the convenience of sending/receiving them. The other major problem is it's really hard to send large sums of money to a person and or business that lives in a third world country per say.

    Some of the professional players do find creative ways to send those large amount of funds. However, those are the same people that probably found a way to continue playing at books like pinnacle. I highly doubt they will talk details on how they did it on a public forum IMO.

    I guess it depends on how much you need to wire.

    I have a cou ple of buddies of mine who have deposited via ** at BetJM and they said within minutes the money was there, no problems etc..I would imagine if you keep it under $1k per transaction you would be fine...

    Usually $2K-$2,500 or less should keep you under the radar Austin. Just as long as you don't send those types of amounts 4 to 5 times during a month span.

    BBD, I was thinking about using the international *********** route with 5dimes. Where is the best place to get one? Will any international *********** work? Thx.

    Hi Wassy,

    Here are the carry-overs from last year's dimeline list.
    Best Baseball Sportsbooks
    This list will be updated in the next few days to include other books going with a 10 cent line.

    I posted this answer in this thread Austin, but i'll post it here as well:

    I'm still mourning the loss of losing pinnacle, and while Matchbook is a very strong second for me right now. However I do need to explore other very good outs, and Jazz (DPT Sports Group) fits the criteria I'm look for in a book.

    Jazz has been around long time and are rock solid. They also have very unique lines. Also there limits are roughly 5K on most sports, and I haven't heard anything in regards to them cutting your limits at all either.

    The only problem I can foresee with Jazz is that they do use a 20 cent line on totals. I can live with that factor though, because a lot of other rock solid books use the dimeline for those.

    So I am assuming payouts are solid as well?

    I guess my main question is...when comparing them to CRIS/OLympic....why should I choose Jazz?

    I haven't heard of any slow pays at Jazz at all Austin.

    For one thing Jazz does use dimeline, while Cris and Oyl/TheGreek uses a 20 cent line. If your going to play at a Cris or Oly/TheGreek backed book, then I would recomend either DSI (Cris) or BetJM (Oly/TheGreek)
