BOS/DET : Will shadows cause hitter problems in the first couple of innings?

Help me out here DET fans.

Since this game starts at 4PM, will the hitters be dealing with some pretty bad shadows?
It normally affects hitters, since they cannot pickup the spin of the ball.

If the Stadium has severe shadow problems in the early innings, I would lean Under on the FF.

    Two things:
    1. Tiger Stadium typically is not too bad for shadows because of where home plate is positioned, and
    2. More importantly, it is expected to be mostly cloudy in the D all day then 80% chance of rain tonight - no sun, no shadows.

Sure thing. Shadows affecting afternoon games are a great angle that many don't consider. You can file this away in your memory bank: Shadows can be wicked in Cleveland for 4 pm start when it's sunny.
