Giants have stranded 8 through 4 innings

    EIGHT.

    Is that even possible?

Oh well, it's not like I have a huge bet on them or anything.

    10 through 5 now.

    10 hits and 1 run.

    Out-hit CIN 10-8 and are down 6-1.

This is the damn dumbest shit I've ever seen. f\*\*k Leake. Fvcking wizard.

Can't believe people are still betting on the Giants. Especially against Leake absolute stud on the road. Leake very underrated.

I take it you haven't actually watched him pitch and are just looking at his surface stats.

Guy is far from a "stud" anywhere. He's having a total fluke year.

And Gaudin isn't? You really expected him to outpitch Leake? Sorry bro but this was fairly easy.

Why did 57-44 Cincy only open as a -111 fave given Leake's numbers and the fact that they're playing the 46-54 Giants? I don't know -- maybe it is really this easy and the books just like giving away free money, much like the Dodgers over and over again. Cincy should've been -130 minimum tonight.

Take a look at Leake's advanced stats compared to previous years and get back to me.

I'm not saying he isn't decent, but yes, his surface stats (W-L, ERA, etc.) are a total fluke.

I don't care about his stats from previous years on a night like tonight. Giants are cold, Pagan is greatly missed. No Posey tonight and Gaudin didn't scare my money one bit. Line was a lil goofy but that's not always everything.

In my opinion Giants should've been favored.... At home with a guy that's been near unhittable at home all I know Giants can't hit but still they're a home team with theyre best statistical pitcher pitching.

Line was right Coin. Even though Cincy has the better record, books would never hang Cincy at -130 given the Giants hottest pitcher was on the mound......-110 was about right.

Although sharp bettors would have picked up on Cincy hitting in Pacbell really well.

Your saying Leake is overrated but you want him to be a -130 road fave against Gaudin with his numbers who was going into tonight at what like 4-1 and nice ERA??

Cincy is 11 games better than SF in the standings, and Leake is 9-4 with a 2.79 ERA overall and 6-1 with a 2.19 ERA on the road. Posey isn't playing. Yes, the Reds should've been -130. I figured the books knew what they were doing here. Guess not.

you need to stop worrying what the books are thinking man. Your making this shit harder than it needs to be. Just evaluate the game being played on the field.

    Trust your gut.

DBacks have stranded 14 through 10 innings. Left the bases loaded three times.

Very good advice. Its all about the pitcher and the better team in baseball. Most of the time the books will know this but they make mistakes.

The only thing the books know is that the public will ALWAYS bet on the losing team in the long run.......

    It is that simple.....

If the Giants manage to strand the bases loaded in the 9th, they'll be the first team in 27 years -- and just the second since 1956 -- to leave 18 on base in a single nine-inning game.

translation: I lost because of a statistical anomaly. Did the Reds bats, gloves, and pitching play a role or just inept Giants offense when it mattered?

yea i could care less what the books think honestly, unless its basketball where every other fukking gm is fixed. NFL/MLB i just wathc the games and make plays accordingly.

this logic leads you to the conclusion that Giants +105 is a solid play.

I'm always going to side with the books, because in the long run, they make the money -- not you.

They're not infallible, but I'd rather listen to the guys who set lines for a living than people who think they're smarter than the books long-term.
