*Verlander takes the mound for Detroit versus Martin Perez and the Rangers. Verlander has been pitching poorly in his last 6 starts going 2-4 with an 3.72 ERA, and going 1-2 at home during that span. In his last outing, he gave up 2 HR, 5 ER over 7 innings pitched. Perez has won three out of his last four starts and is coming off a strong performance in Baltimore, going 6 innings and giving up 2 ER. After a dismal 1 run performance by Texas last night, I expect the best offense in the league to show up this afternoon and for Verlander to continue with his pitching woes.*

*Pittsburgh looks to sweep the Mets today and go into the All Star break with at least a tie for the lead in the NL Central and the best record that they've had at the break since 1975. They send Gerrit Cole to the mound, in place of injured Locke, and after a red hot start with four straight wins, the rookie right hander has lost his last two starts, both at home. The public seems to be all over Pittsburgh and the sweep. I will take my chances on the Mets getting to Cole and fade the public on this one.*

I expect Wood to put on a strong showing at home tonight, Cubs to keep the bats popping to take 3 out of 4 in this series and Wainwright regretting not resting for the All Star game.*

Just got back from Vegas two hours ago and already back on SBR. Didn't post any plays while there because between the casinos, pool and drinking, just didn't have the time. Did pretty well though with the sportsbooks.

Sorry for not posting this sooner but I'm on the Nationals this afternoon at +120 for 3 units. Gonzalez is pitching good but even better when he's on the road against a good opposing pitcher. And I have a feeling that Verlander gets rocked again. All in all, a great value bet imo.

Eyeing a few games for tonight. Will do a proper writeup shortly.
