    NYY/BOS Friday

    Pettitte vs. Penny

Pettitte last four: 6.1/1ER, 6.2/1ER, 7.0/0ER, 6.0/2ER. The 7 innings of shutout was against Boston.

    Penny last four: 5.0/7ER, 6.0/5ER, 6.0/3ER, 5.2/4ER.

I know this series is always up for grabs, and I know it's in Boston. But:
Yankees swept the Red Sox in a four game series just a few weeks ago.
Yankees are 24-8 since the All-Star break while the Sox are 14-17.

Yankees are only -118. Is this a pretty good bet?

I like the Yankees to win tomorrow, seems like a coin flip and could go either way but the Yankees are still pissed off about losing 8 straight to Boston earlier in the year. And if they can pull 2 out of 3 here that would just about close the door on the AL east. I think the Yankees will take care of business tomorrow.

These teams are very close in several stats... When betting in this three game series... I think home field advantage does take part... I have not reviewed the pitching match ups yet....but Boston is a tough home team and the Yanks a very good road team...the pens will play a major part in this three games... Remember these series have been dominated by the home teams...lets see if the Red Sox throw up the white flag or keep fighting...

brad penny is not to be trusted. if pettite wasn't so hot recently the over would have been the golden pick.
