Carillo is TERRIBLE and Dempster has been a dump truck of late. Dempster's career numbers vs. the Padres are pretty damn shiny but his recent play hasn't exactly been warranted a line of 8.5. This has the potential to go over by the fifth inning alone.
Today's line was more of a "trap", and everyone was ready to jump all over the 8. But Lilly was stellar in his minor league rehab starts and Corriea is an under machine at home so the under signs were there.
Do they really expect the bats to lay dormant again?
