I like Liriano to cool off the bats of the Cards. The Cards pitcher (Piniero) looked like a Cy Young winner last game, while pitching a Complete Game against the oft injured METS. But last time he had a complete game he went on to lose his next 5 games. I expect more of the same.
IMO this line is a classic case of why the books make so much money. Liriano's #'s this year are garbage and Piniero's are relatively solid. Problem is that Piniero's #'s are skewed by pitching in the NL, while Liriano is coming off Tommy John and is the better pitcher on so many levels. Plus Piniero has had no luck vs. MIN career wise.
Same thing with the NYY/NYM game today. If it wasn't for Wang's(Yanks best pitcher the last 3 previous seasons) ugly #'s this year, the Yanks would by 70 cent favs vs. Mr. batting practice aka Livan Hernandez.
Keep an eye out for this thread as I will be toning down my betting baseball since nothing about baseball is predictable. Just no easy money in this sport.
