    tuesday bases

    Favorites (54-55)(-13.37)
    Underdogs (37-45)(+0.33)
    Runlines (6-8)(-1.30)
    Totals (15-9)(+5.07)
    Parlays (13-19)(-2.76)

    Overall (125-136)(-12.03)

1-3 on Monday dropping 2.30 units. All of my plays were favorites. I really loved the Mets yesterday, but they gave up five runs in the 8th inning and lost 8-5. Don’t have much confidence right now. As poorly as I have picked I am shocked I am only down 12 units. Lets try this again.

Parlay risking 1 unit to win 1.64 units

    Mets over Pittsburgh
    Minnesota over Cleveland

Lost with the Mets last night, but coming right back with them tonight. Despite scoring 8 runs last night, pirates usually struggle to it the ball and facing Santana is not going to help. Minnesota with Slowely has a huge pitching advantage tonight. Twins rock solid as home, while Cleveland really struggles on the road.

Phillies +162 vs San Diego…………..I hate to go against the Padres with Peavy and their solid home record, but there is just too much value with the Phils and the best road record in baseball. They have a rookie pitching who is supposed to be very good. Also sometimes a rookie can have a great game simply because the batters have not seen him before. This one could easily lose, but I cannot pass up the Phils as this big a dog.

Dodgers -116 vs Arizona……………Arizona might have the slight pitching advantage tonight, but that is all they have. Great odds to get LA at home. Wolf might not be as good of a pitcher as Haren, but his numbers so far this season are. I really think the dodgers are a steal at this price.

Toronto -1.5 (+130) vs Angels………….Not afraid of the runline in this one. Toronto one of the better hitting teams and they have one of the best pitchers in the game throwing for them. Jays not playing real well lately, but I think they explode tonight and win this one rather easily.

That is all for Tuesday. I like some others, but the way I am picking I should cut back a little until I turn things around.

    Good Luck Everybody!!

I disagree with these plays. Phils aren't that great value because Peavy is cy young especially in Petco. I wouldn't describe this as a value play simply because the Padres tend to give their ace run support. As for the Dodgers, it could be good value, but Dan Haren is a legitimate ace and could pitch late into the game. The Dbacks have been hitting of late while the Dodgers are starting to feel the pinch of not having Manny in the lineup. My least favorite of your plays is the last one simply because the Blue Jays aren't a good hitting team on paper. They started off the year solid, but are starting to regress to the team they were last year. Although I disagree, good luck.
