What is the hardest thing to do in baseball??
Meant to say in sports not just baseball :::::: edit
IMO its to hit a baseball ... Just think of trying to hit something barely the size of your fist coming at you at 90+ mph and then adjusting to it moving and speed changes

all depends , there is offense hitting, the defense, now that brings me to what is the hardedst position to play on D . I am left handed so I am screwed on D, but I played organized baseball for more than15 years, and my best guess is being a catcher. its hard on the body, and also is a position for people who have the ability to be captains on a team. I pitched and was also a leader, but if you are really great you become a premadonna.
nail the home plate umpire in the side of the face with your spiked cleats after you slide under the tag safely but end up getting called out anyways

I would guess a perfect game would definitely be up there.. Hard enough to pitch to major league players...then you have to go a perfect 9innings...hmmm..very hard to do..

take 100 of the worst sbr poster athletes
give them a chance to hit 95 mph heat and almost everyone will get some wood on it.
this could be without practice for years.
now of course they would hit .050 in single A ball.
but now try to get those same 100 posters to dunk a basketball or kick a 60 yard field goal or block N'domakan Suh or cover Calvin Johnson or Tackle
or stop a penalty kick in soccer or stop a malkin break away in hockey or gaurd John Wall in the open court or return a 140 mph serve or tackle Miachel Turner...
but even harder might be to do the things that we've seen gymnasts or figure skaters do in the olympics....
anyone here do a triple axl on skates?

I played college ball and honestly there's nothing harder to do then hit a baseball after a pitcher has brushed you off with a 90 mph fastball around your head. If he starts working that outside corner with sliders... Really tough.

Baseball is only skill, there is no athleticism involved in the game. You don't need to work out, you don't need to run, it doesn't matter what % body fat you are, it doesn't matter how high you jump. The game is a joke. If it doesn't combine both athleticism and skill then it's at the bottom of sports and that's why baseball rating are going down, my friends.
Gold involves no athleticism. Only skill.
Try doing a 360 under the legs dunk. How many can do it? There are millions on earth that can hit a 95 mph fastball....

There's not even any mental involved in the baseball game. Not like the pressure you are under if you're a tennis or golf player or quarterback. The things you have to read at the line.
