    Washington's Ross Detwiler hasn't won on the road since April 10

    Nine appearances. Six starts.

    He's -180 tonight at Houston.

    I know how bad Lyles has been, and I know how bad the Astros are both overall and vs. lefties. But I don't know how you can lay this type of number in this spot given the matchup.

    I agree with a lot of what you just said.

    Now to answer your question on how anyone can lay that number..

    The Astros are 4-31 over their last 35, 4-31. They could easily win tonight, but looking at this horrid stretch one could ask how in the world could anyone back them.

    Well I will have the Jack and a towel nearby because I am on Astros +171. Detwilers's xFIP of 4,14 is not significantly better than Lyles's 4.41.
