Both pitchers are hot and looking 10x better than the start of the season. I think they stay hot as each have the capability of being All-Star caliber starters when on. Nauert is behind the plate and while he is 3-3 on the over/unders, he has an average of 8.33 runs per game. He was behind the plate when Verlander and Baker matched up last year and the final score was 4-1.

LA Dodgers @ PHI Phillies
Billingsley vs Hamels
PHI ML -126 --- 1.5 units
PHI RL +157 --- .75 units
PHI/LAD under 8.5 -115 --- 2 units

Hamels looks like he's righted the ship and he should have success against he Dodgers like he did in 2008 when he went 3-0 with a 2.25 ERA. Billinglsey on the other hand has struggled against Philadelphia and while I don't expect him to have a bad outing, I expect one that comes up a bit short when compared to Hamels today. I'm expecting a 4-2 type score at game end...with the Phils coming up with the win.

FLA Marlins @ MIL Brewers
Johnson vs Bush
FLA ML +108 --- 1.5 units
FLA RL +178 --- 1 unit

Johnson is an ace and can shut down a team on any given day and I expect a good outing today. The Fish are 17-4 in Johnson's last 21 outings...so anytime you can take him as a dog, it's a good bet The Marlins are a streaky offensive team seen by their 20-8 record after scoring 5 or more runs. I took the runline because I'm not a 100% believer in David Bush. He's been pretty solid but I can't help but look at his 6.88 career ERA against the Marlins. I think the under looks pretty solid on this one as well but I'm staying away.

I haven't looked at any late afternoon or evening games yet but I too like the Giants at first glance. The Giants have been solid at home and I continue to think John Maine is over-rated. With the Mets being consitently overvalued, the +120 for the Giants right now is looking rather solid. If I had to guess, I'll be on this game tonight though I still have to look at things much more in depth.

I ended up getting a ******** card and depositing money into matchbook that way...worked very well.

I like the SF game after first glance and assume that I'll end up going in that direction after looking more in depth at the trends/splits/ump etc.

The DET or MIN ML scare me a bit. That game could go either way. I like Verlander and his recent dominance but Baker looked solid in his last outing and Minnesota is one of the bigger home advantages in baseball. I'm sitting that one out.

I haven't really looked at the SEA game but may end up sitting that one out as well. The line looks a bit fishy to me...I'll be looking into this game in the next hour or so though.

I have no idea how Santana is going to come back...but when a guy comes back from injury, I like taking the RL on the other team, especially when they're dogs. If Santana has his stuff, he could very well dominate the Sox today, but if he's off, I expect a ton of runs and the Sox to win by 2 or more. It makes for a nice 1 unit wager.

Eh, I'm sitting it out. The Royals are struggling with the sticks but are solid at home while the O's have been awful on the road. Meche is better than Guthrie and the home/road difference is pretty big. If I had to take a side compared with the line currently I'd go with the dog in Baltimore since KC has been awful recently. But like I said, I'm sitting it out.
